High Recommendation for Dr. Graves.
Dr. Graves listening skills, explanation of my options and recommendation for needed surgery were reassuring. He was kind, professional and encouraging. He provided options for the date of the surgery. I phoned to schedule a date for surgery, had an other office visit and the surgery was scheduled (hernia repair). The surgery went well, I was cared for expertly at Whidbey Health Hospital. Dr. Graves visited each day and was encouraging; he visited three times the 4th day; I didn't feel ready to go home--he agreed for me to stay another night and his associate discharged me the next day. I am very satisfied with Dr. Graves care and recommend him to my friends. I is kind, informative and caring.

The worst medical apt. I have EVER been to
This man has absolutely zero bedside manner. This was my first time meeting him and he came into the room and just had horrible demeanor right off the bat. I felt like I had to be on the defensive the entire time. As the appointment went on it was immediately clear he didn't read my medical records or review information that had been sent to him. He was drilling me like I was the doctor about a previous surgeries that had NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT I WAS THEEE FOR, like I was the doctor who did it. He didn't explain anything to me. He had no personality, he has zero compassion or basic human interacting skills. I have never been more mad in my entire life it took everything in me to not walk out of the appointment several times.

Dr. Graves performed double, open hernia repair on me in May 2018. I found Dr. Graves to be a warm, caring, experienced, knowledgeable surgeon. At the time of diagnosis, he fully explained my options. After electing one option, Dr. Graves outlined the entire procedure including what would happen during the surgery, how I could expect to recover, and answered all the questions I had. Today I had my 10-day followup visit with Dr. Graves. The entire process went exactly as he had explained.

I first saw Dr. Graves over a year ago for a large incarcerated hernia that needed repair. He was very honest with me telling me that he could certainly repair it, but if I didn't lose weight, it would most certainly come back. I lost the weight and had the surgery last week. Procedure went very well and Dr. Graves looks to have done an excellent job putting me back together!

Horrible! So rude he acted more like a little boy then a doctor. Deplorable bedside manner. Very judgmental. I saw him for a small sist last year. He excised part of the sist and shoved it in my face sneering telling me to look at it and that it was what I needed to clean out. He acted just like a little boy. Pushing on me without concern for me ignoring my pain like it was a nuisance to him. He did all this with my friend right there with me. I switched doctors after that visit.

My experience with Dr. Graves was far less than satisfactory. He seems to have a plastic personality and zero bedside manner. His services were thrust upon me due to sheer circumstance, sent to him for surgery consultation. He took a look at me examined the trouble area and said, come back when you've lost 50 lbs.. Second appointment with problem worsening, same comment, Lose 50 lbs. and we'll see. He demonstrates an air of arrogance.
