Loved him!
Dr. Gilbert was just amazing from the introduction to discussing my thyroid nodules. He spoke in a way for me to understand. And had a conversation. Appt wasnt rushed. Very easy to talk too. I felt soo comfortable with him during the biopsy and after. He personally called me with the results both times.

Would never recommend to any one. Saw cor several years but when I went ill from adrenal problems was called high. Found a great endocrinologist in Shreveport. Besides adrenal problems I also had para thyrod problems. Had 3 and half removed in Florida and doing much better.

He has been willing to listen and help me with my diabetes. He’s also helped me with my thyroid issues. He has sent me referrals for other outstanding doctors as needed for other health issues. I am lucky to have found him.

Dr Gilbert did a thyroid biopsy. It was thankfully benign. I found him and his staff to be caring and awesome. I have to follow up yearly for an ultrasound and the doctors at the office are the ones that do the ultrasound, not a tech. My mother also sees him for endocrine issues and she loves him! Would highly recommend him!

very happy in Lake Charles, LA – Jul 10, 2017

I had to have a thyroidectomy in Houston years ago. Since I live in LCH I decided to try a local endo to have thyroid levels monitored. In short, Dr Gilbert was a jerk. He would interrupt when I would attempt to inform him of my energy levels, hair loss and other symptoms that were bothersome to me. When I asked if I could try a different thyroid medication he told me he would only call out Synthroid - nothing else. Guess he'll have to call Synthroid out to someone else. I never returned.

My daughter and I were both Dr Gilberts patients. He and his staff are very nice. Dr Gilbert took his time with both of us. However, be prepared to order additional labs out of pocket as he does not order Rev T3 normally. My daughter was left undermedicated due to his lack of understanding T3 and conversion issues. He is against prescribing NDT medications and will only Rx synthetic meds. We had to find another Dr to properly treat my daughters Autoimmune Hashimotos Thyroiditis.

We made an appointment with Dr. Gilbert after being told we needed and got a referral from my oncologist. Went to the office and was taken in on time. After being told that it would b a short time before the doctor would be in a nurse PR actioner came in and told us that he would be "taking care of us today." When I told him that I made an appointment to see the doctor he said oh well just a minute. After waiting 20 minutes in a room we decided to leave as no one ever came in. Going to Houston.

I feel like with this office there is no individualized care. I was on an Omnipod when I first came to Dr. Gilbert. They told me I needed off the Omnipod because this office likes the Medtronic pump system. I've been on the Medtronic system for 2 years and want to go back to Omnipod now. He will not authorize my request papers. I want what is best for my diabetes and me not what is best for you and your office. If you want personalized diabetes care I would not recommend Dr. Gilbert's office.
