Never again
Dr. Edgil was dismissive and rude I went in concerned about my health already fairly certain about the outcome of what I would hear based on the results I had already seen and family history etc. He was rude and told me unless my tests were off the charts he wouldn't be diagnosing me with anything. Needless to say when I walked out that day I called my primary care doctor and asked to be referred to another rheumatologist (which is a pain to have done if you've ever done it so that goes to show how awful this guy was) my test results I had to demand because he didn't even want to do them were done in November it is now end of February he still hasn't had the decency to call with the results or maybe he is just embarrassed since they had more proof that he was wrong. Guess we'll never know. Good riddance.

Condescending & Dismissive
Told me that I needed a primary care doctor so I wouldn't need to carry a binder with my lab work around. I recently moved from another state & I am working on getting a primary care doctor, but I did have a doctor I had seen several times that wrote my referrals and ordered all the lab work I was showing him. I also had a second specialist tell me to follow up with a rheumatologist. He told me that he doesn't think I have an autoimmune disease without doing any additional testing. My lab work, family history, and symptoms all suggest I may have an autoimmune disease--that's why several doctors referred me to a rheumatologist. When I teared up and asked for additional lab work, he told me no and, I quote, 'What I treat is autoimmune disease, and I don't think you have one.' Great- since there is science that can prove or disprove your opinion, why won't you order the lab work to help me on my 3 year long journey of working with specialists to find a diagnosis?
