Dr Vater did surgery to correct a drop foot and he was always professional and my foot is nearly completely healed. It has far exceeded my expectation

I met Dr Vater as a replacement for a surgeon who left NV Ortho. I am ever so fortunate to have had this privilege. Absolutely no comparison between the two surgeons at all. Dr Vater is Caring, Super Thorough and Spends time with his patient to make sure all is perfectly well understood. I have had many types of surgeries and feel very confident with Dr Vater and his practice. His assistant Sonia is equally Great. Thanks Doc!

Dr Vater has always been very professional and explains things so they can be understood. Appointment to actually being seen time was a little long, but with current circumstances is understandable.

This visit was not so great when it comes to making me wait in my car, then in the waiting room, then going to the doctor’s room and wait for the doctor. I was there from 12:30 PM because they request me to get there half an hour earlier. The doctor did not see me till 2:52 PM. I did not get out until 3:31 PM! All the unnecessary waiting was ridiculous!! But, I like the doctor a lot.

Not very informative and wasn’t even going to look at MRI until I asked him to review! Then he responded ohh you have an MRI . Then he sat down and reviewed! When I asked him about the results from my EMG Nerve test on hand and arm he dismissed it and didn’t no what a C8 cervical nerve root injury was ! Then recommend hand specialist

My visit with Dr Vater was amazing He is the absolute best .. however The entire staff working at this office is shameful...rude. arrogant, self centered, and all need a lesson in patient care There are great doctors at this office and their staff makes them all look bad. What I witnessed at my visit was so sad . These doctors deserve attendings that honor them not make patients feel unwelcome, uncomfortable, and like we are lowlifes. Truly sad they feel they are above those in need I would fire every one of them.

Great Doctor. If you are in the same place That I was , you’ll want this Doctor. I was told by two other Surgeons that my condition was hopeless and that I was not going to walk. Dr Vater made it happen, and I’m better than ever. I’ll gladly wait whatever it takes to see this doctor! There is a reason why he’s hard to see, clearly he’s highly sought after.

Referred to Dr. Vater by a friend otherwise I would have avoided him because of all the negative reviews and that would have been my loss. It was a great appointment starting with the reception area and finishing with Dr. Vater. Everything was on time and Dr. Vater took the time to listen to me and explain my options. He is not surgery happy and told me what he would do if it was his back. I really appreciate his honesty and straight talk.

I've been to this office 5 times, the first time i waited over 2 1/2 hours with a broken back to get seen, he was rude, told me to get an MRI The 2nd time, i got to the check-in and was told he canceled and that i was called..i never received a call, i asked for a supervisor and was DENIED. The 3rd visit i got in finally in pain and was given a brace, the 4th visit he took x-rays told me to come back in a few months i come back for 5th visit go to check in and YET AGAIN canceled with no call!

It’s a shame I even Had to give this office one star! This has been the WORST experience of my life! This office is beyond unprofessional you NEVER get a return call even after I left 4 messages in the span of two weeks. I had An abnormal MRI that showed I needed Surgery I had Three other physicians advise me to get in to see him sooner due to the abnormalities but once I did Speak with someone she had no knowledge of even receiving the MRI or that Dr Vater reviewed it! Avoid this practice!

Made appointment for lower back pain related to arthritis. He spent 5 minutes with me & referred me for back injections without trying physical therapy or any other type of treatment first. He barely even entered the exam room, he stood in the doorway & spoke to his assistant more than me. I was not not asking for pain medication. Got the impression back issues aren't important enough for his time & effort.

There are not enough characters to express how much I would never recommend this physician. By far the worst experience with a physician. He is arrogant, sarcastic, condescending, explains nothing, spends no time in exam room responding to questions (2 minutes is it), and you will be disappointed and angry. His surgery scheduler is unfriendly as well, and she appears angry all of the time. Save yourself the trouble, see a physician who will treat you with respect and has courteous staff.

Uncompassionate man. You will wait hours to see him because scheduled appointments take a back seat. Don't make the mistake I did. Pain management is crucial for your well being all of which not being offered by this strange man. Please for the love of god don't waste your time here like I did.

Waited one hour in waiting room. Was called back to exam room and proceeded to wait two and a half hours. Was referred to pain clinic that has not called or recieved referral twelve days after this appointment. I believe I was not taken seriously for the injury my Neurologist deemed necessary to be referred to an orthopaedic surgeon. I'm sick of doctors passing the torch for treatment or pain management. I feel sorry for myself and all who may suffer debilitating pain in this generation.

I just had surgery on March 23, 2017. I would like to thank Dr. Vater with all of my heart. He is an excellent surgeon. My surgery was a more complicated one and Dr. Vater was still willing to do it. He made sure that I had all test done to make sure the surgery would be successful. He is the most dedicated doctor that I have ever met. He really cares about his patients. Spinal surgery is a hard decision. If you really need it I really recommend Dr. Vater.

The assistant and doctor I saw were awful. They acted like I was In inconvenience. He lacks professionalism and the ability to care or understand his patients. The doctor spent less than 5 minutes with me . How he explains my medical condition was terrible. The worst doctor that ever seen !
