His calm, caring manner put me at ease as soon as I met w him. In addition to his expertise, he always took time, answered questions, listened to my concerns. So important after being diagnosed w cancer at 42. That was 20 years ago. I am so grateful I was referred to Dr Sunnenberg by my surgeon.

Amazing care provider! Takes every patient's case to heart and thoughtfully and carefully considers the course of treatment that's right for them. Will answer all your questions and goes above and beyond in making sure you don't receive unnecessary procedures that might make it easier for them and have a worse quality outcome for you! Never made us feel like he didn't have time for us even though he had a really high case load. Can't recommend him highly enough!

I would highly recommend Dr. Sunnenberg to anyone. He followed me for five years for ampullary cancer. I was diagnosed in June 2008 and had the Whipple Procedure at Shands Teaching Hospital (University of Florida College of Medicine) on July 10, 2008. My husband and I moved here to Gulf Breeze in early 2012, and Dr. Sunnenberg became my oncologist. Yesterday was my last appointment with him. I will truly miss him.

Extremely likely to recommend. Dr. Sunnenberg was the best doctor that I came in contact with over a 15 year chronic illness. He found and facilitated additional medical care when my situation worsened and set up a bone marrow transplant. Prognosis is good and I may well be dead if it was not for his care.

Dr. Sunnenberg is absolutely #1 in dedication to patient care, going way beyond the call of duty to ensure that his patients & families have the best care both medically & psychologically during the toughest of times. Our family is indebted to Dr. Sunnenberg for his outstanding professionalism. His staff is top notch--always there for patients/families, always responsive, compassionate, outstanding professional skill.
