Misdiagnosed me
Dr. Suits is surgery-happy. He wanted to immediately get me into surgery, saying that with my history and my “very much enlarged” prostate, he was SURE I had prostate cancer. He demanded that I get a PSA test, and ordered one even though I told him not to. So, I changed to a different urologist. Turns out, what I DID have was a very enlarged, non-cancerous prostate which was causing high blood pressure and kidney damage. Dr. Suits did not notice these problems. Another urologist took good care of me.

Dr. Suits saved my life
Dr. Suits saved my life by discovering growth of cancer cells in my bladder, removed them and gave me preventive treatment to prevent future growth. He is very patient, listens carefully and is accessible 24/7 in emergencies. Very highly recommended.

Great Doc!
Dr. Suits and his staff are outstanding. He helped me when I had a life threatening kidney infection /Uti, he squeezed me in very quickly for treatment. He also performed a prostate reduction procedure on me, and arranged home health Nurse to monitor/assist in my recovery. He obviously loves the field of Urology and it shows. He goes the extra mile to ensure his patients best outcomes. He also does not push anything on you, he let's you make your own informed decision, and he explains everything so you can. He also has a sense of humor and trys to lighten the mood to put patients at ease. His office is set up to do various procedures there, which is convenient. He also does good follow up after the procedure. Highly recommended him and his staff. The view of the water in his office also is very peaceful and calming.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thomas Suits for around 9 months. A true professional in every sense of the word. I have had 3 issues (prostate, bladder neck, Peronist). All resolved in the best way possible! If you are not seeing this doctor for urology issues you are missing great treatment from a great doctor and a totally caring staff!

Highly experienced and knowledgeable and compassionate physician. Office staff was professional and kind. He tentatively diagnosed bladder cancer which 2 young Cleveland Clinic urologist had told me erroneously couldn't be cancer but didn't scope when I was in horrible pain every day. After Suits surgery and biopsy Cleveland Clinic pathologists said wasn't cancer but didn't know what it was. But thanks to Dr. Suits I was completely out of pain after surgery to remove affected bladder tissue and he followed up 3 months later with a new biopsy with results sent to John Hopkins Urology Lab for reliable pathology. Awaiting results.

Dr. Suits has been my Urologist for the past dozen years. He has performed perhaps a dozen operations on me since that time, and has always been great before as well as follow-up afterwards. There are occasions when he has been late for appointments usually due to emergency surgeries and such or needing to take extended time with a particular patient. It is heartening to know he is not a clock-watcher shuffling patients in and out assembly line style.

Discoved low grade prostate cancer. Explain all options including a visit to orlando and local other Dr. He is quick in the office when explaining but if you ask a few questions he slows down to ensure you understanding the choices you have to make.

I rate Dr Suits low for the following reasons: 1. After diagnosing prostate cancer he spent very very little time discussing my options. I had to use my experience as a management consultant to determine the best treatment plan for me. 2. He was very quick to recommend radical surgery and recommend a specific surgeon in Orlando, FL. This is what I would do!! This despite the fact that I am almost 80 and most surgeons refuse to operate on men over 70. 3. No discussion re 2nd opinion.
