Dr. Thomas Schmelzer, MD

We met Dr. Schmelzer via the Levine Childrens' Hospital Emergency Department. Our child required surgery. He talked with our child and us about the situation & required surgery. He was patient & caring, listening to & answering all our questions in detail. He took the time with our child to explain everything about the procedure and recovery expectations and made sure it was understood. We had no doubt our child was in excellent hands. When he visited during hospital rounds the next morning, he had the same high quality attention, patience & caring. Our post surgical follow up visit was our first time in his office. His office staff & nurse provided the same, wonderful level of caring & attention we experienced with Dr. Schmelzer. We had a minimal wait prior to our appointment. Dr. Schmelzer's continued attention to detail, not just surgically but also personally, making sure our child understood what was expected and what to watch for, was nothing short of wonderful!
