Just over one year ago I underwent open heart surgery that entailed aortic valve replacement and mitral valve repair. Dr. Reece performed the aortic valve replacement and Dr. Cleveland performed the mitral valve repair. My cardiologist in Colorado Springs recommended Dr. Reece and Dr. Cleveland. I'm very fortunate to have had heart surgery performed by these two doctors. Following few months of cardio therapy I'm much stronger and physically able to do work around the house and exercise regularly.

He saved my life!! When Flight for Life landed at UofCO,Dr.Reece & team repaired a sudden, and previously unknown, aortic arch dissection . I am the first in my family to survive this condition! His passion for understanding aortic aneurysms and research in minimizing the occurrence of potential damage is apparent and shows in his surgical skills. What a comfort for me and my family! After a successful sugery, Dr. Reece has continued to be available for follow-up information and questions.
