Amazing doctor with great bedside manner
My grandmother has been facing some health issues and she was able to meet Dr. Read in person today. He really explained everything thoroughly as well as what to expect as well as the treatment plan. He sounds very confident and I am sure my grandmother is in THE BEST hands! He even lightened the tension with light humor. My grandmother absolutely loved him and she feels a lot more relaxed with what is to come.

A light in the storm
Meeting Doctor Reed at his office in Gainesville, Florida was a godsend. My husband has been having some challenging conditions which, until we met Doctor Reed led us to believe the worst. He explained findings from testing he completed which had previously been done by other GI specialists. Once he knew what he was working with, he made a solid plan and executed on that plan, professionally and timely. The entire staff at UF Shands and his office has been nothing but top notch. You've set the bar high Dr. Reed. Many, many thanks to you and your team for helping my husband to get well.

Excellent surgeon, scientist and compassionate doc
I have been Dr. Read's patient for half a year and have benefited from his superb surgical skills, precise diagnosis, and in-depth knowledge of relevant science. Equally important, Dr. Read is a compassionate, approachable human who is attentive to patients' needs and knows how to use gentle humor to lessen stress.

Excellent
Explained everything in great detail in terms that we understood ~ quite often he would ask if we had any questions about anything he said. Great sense of humor which for a surgeon is hard to find.

My meeting with Dr. Read didn’t go as planned. He was very informative and wasn’t in a hurry, but unfortunately, that’s the nicest things I can say about him.
