My body had been put through the wringer after a rocky pregnancy. I wish I had found Dr Penoyar sooner because I would not have put off my corrective surgery as long as I had... Once I met with him I instantly knew that he was both competent and eager to help me get my life back on track by tackling my surgery. I scheduled my surgery asap. I am stubborn, but once I met him and handed the reins off to him, I was set for success. I am 12 days post-op now and am beaming with gratitude. I am so thankful he was able to gift me my quality of life back. My surgery I needed was so daunting and I was honestly terrified, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without him and his team. They were so helpful pre and post op with navigating my recovery. He will be my FIRST call if I ever need a serious health condition addressed again. I love you for what you were able to do for me. Emergency referral from ER visit. Very fast appointment schedule, exam, emergency surgery scheduled within an hour. Dr. was very thorough in explaining situation and procedures so we could understand. After surgery early visit, explained next steps..

I can't say how much I'd recommend Dr. Penoyar! I went in nervous as can be thinking that I was having a surgical procedure. I showed him what I came in for and some other possibilities. He sat down and talked with me about everything. We could see how nervous I was so we talked about it. He decided it'd be best to prescribe something to help with my anxiety and to reschedule for a week later. I haven't had a doctor be that kind since I was a kid. He didn't even mess around with the strength of the medication. I'm really tall so he prescribed the highest strength. He did the normal thing of prescribing an extra tablet for me to take a few days before to see how I respond. I'm actually looking forward to my surgical procedure now.

I had a colonoscopy with Penoyar in December 2023. Prior to the procedure when I was in per-op, he came in and didn’t ask if I had any questions regarding the procedure. He gave me a form and told me to sign it. I received no pain/sedation medication prior to going to the OR. Once there, the medication was inadequate, I was awake the whole time and felt what was happening. I cried out in pain several times and asked for more pain medication, never hearing anything from the doctor. The nurse rubbed my arm. When the procedure was over, I never saw the doctor again. Very traumatic and painful experience. Do NOT use this doctor.
