Excellent Dr!
I was very, very impressed with Dr. Meza. He was very attentive and always poking his head in. He let me know what to expect and want me through the whole process. You couldn’t ask for a better doctor. I feel like he gave me a new life.

Dr. Mazza simply put, saved my life. I had acute severe hemorrhage on a Saturday afternoon. Within 5 minutes after calling his answering service he returned my call and had me admitted to the West Shore Hospital off I 81. Some doctors would have told me to monitor the situation and check back while he was astute enough to understand my dire predicament and acted accordingly. Within 24 hours following onset my hemoglobin dropped at least 4 points and later another point, down to 7. How can you ever give a grade to someone like that? There are no grades high enough.

Dr Mazza worked with me, helping me to better understand my situation — above and beyond what others were willing to do. He is compassionate and he stuck with me. I am young, age 57, diagnosed with colorectal cancer. He robotically removed my rectum and sigmoid colon. Surgical procedure whet very well. Physical recovery is going, emotional state of affairs is rough and he hung in there with me. Calling when he thought I was going to abandon treatment and encouraging me to keep moving forward. Again, very compassionate. I am now dealing with LARS, which he did tell me about, and we are working through it.

Dr. Mazza squeezed me at the end of his day for an acute issue. He was very nice, good bedside manner and took lots of time before and after the procedure to discuss my case with me. Gave me great advice and insight that other doctors hadn't provided. If he weren't so far away, I would definitely go back but this was an acute situation and my surgeons were not available so I drove quite a distance to see Dr. Mazza. I would recommend him!

I trust him with my life. My experience: Removed my entire colon 3 years ago. I had NO pain after the surgery. Didn't even need an aspirin. Maybe just luck. He is not long winded, but, will explain things so you can understand. Most importantly, ethical: only prescribes what is needed and explains why. He is a low key doctor who gets directly to the point without an excess of words. Conscientious: Does what he says and cares about your health and treatment. Great doctor and person.
