Went to Dr Kryzak with a hip that was bone on bone. End of the day I wouldn’t want to walk from my truck to the house. Hip is fantastic now! The procedure was simple and easy to heal from. Bailey in the Dr.’s office communicated. Everyone was fantastic.

Dr Kryzak did my knee replacement and will do the other one next year. He is a very fine doctor with top skills to match his credentials. My knee was a difficult one and the recovery is well ahead of schedule. Every person in the MidCoast orthopedic practice has made me feel like I matter not like I am just another to get in and out the door. I have had knee surgeries at “top” hospitals in Boston and elsewhere and never had such a good result or experience. We are very fortunate to have a surgeon and a practice like this here in MidCoast Maine. The PT team in his office is super. MidCoast Hospital experience was also good.

After nearly two years of hip pain I was referred to Dr. Kryzak by my PCP. With some research into the Doctors schooling and experience and some inquiries within the medical field I felt very confident that he was the right person to do my hip replacement. I found Dr. Zryzak to be professional, knowledgeable, forthright and answered all my questions and concerns. Now months later I have fully healed, I have 99% mobility back and I have a smile back on my face after so long a time in pain. I truly Thank Dr. Kryzak for a Great job. Brian Dilley - 10/29/2019

In March 2019,I had a total knee replacement by Dr. Kryzak. My experience with the whole procedure was very positive, from my initial visit , hospitalization, surgery, and post op care.Everything was well explained , all questions answered, which helped me feel relaxed, comfortable and confident. Now 5 months after surgery, I'm very happy with the results. Dr. Kryzak is a very knowledgeable orthopedic surgeon and I would highly recommend his services as well as the medical and office staff.

Dr. Thomas Kryzak explained to me over a year ago the advantage of having a knee replacement to help with my mobility. My husband was with me for the appointment and together we were very impressed with his knowledge. We felt very confident and made the decision that day to have the procedure.

By reputation, Dr. Kryzak does excellent work. My experience with him easily confirmed both this professional and personal excellence. After several appointments he decided that I needed a hip replacement and surgery was scheduled. The pain that I'd had was immediately eliminated and I walked with ease following physical therapy.. I felt very relaxed and optimistic about the surgery. He is also a very warm and honest person and these qualities gave me added confidence that all aspects of the experience would be extremely positive. His staff were also very knowledgeable and friendly and willing to go the extra mile.

In late July 2018 I had my left knee totally replaced by Dr. Krysak after years of struggling with knee pain from arthritis, bone spurs, et al. In 2011, I had arthroscopic surgery on the replaced knee which gave some relief for a while, but the pain and soreness returned during the intervening years. Favoring one or both knees actually made my condition worse. So my right knee was replaced in August 2016 which did lessen subsequent pain and convince me the other knee needed to be replaced. Now I stand straight with knees that touch (bowleggedness gone) and no pain. My biggest takeaway from both operations is that if you carefully listen and do precisely what Dr Krysak and his team tell you to do before and after the surgery, your chances of a successful outcome are greatly enhanced. Incidentally, I celebrated my 80th birthday last week pain free.

We are fortunate to have an orthopedic surgeon of Dr. Kryzac's ability. The whole Midcoast Medical System experience was satisfactory in every way. I find the use of a local facility made the whole process easier for me and for the people that care for me. "Bigger" is not better, the "grass is not greener" elsewhere.

Dr. Kryzak performed knee replacement surgery on my left knee in March of 2018. I just had my follow-up appointment. I found him to be very personable and professional in all of my interactions with him. He takes his time to explain everything to you and listens to you. I highly recommend him. I had my other knee done by a physician in this practice the year before. I can now walk without pain and ride my bike again!

My experience with Dr. Kryzak during a complicated hip replacement was excellent. He was patient with my concerns, took time to explain exactly what would happen during surgery, and hospital and office visits post surgery were both professional and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Kryzak to anyone needing hip surgery.

Dr. Kryzak recently replaced my left knee. I found him to be thorough, caring, a good listener, and responsive to my concerns. I especially appreciated his attitude and actions concerning preventing infection, as this was a main concern of mine. The fact that Dr. Kryzak trained for this type of surgery at the Cleveland Clinic reinforced my confidence in him. A medical student who observed the operation later told me that she was very impressed with the doctor's skill, emphasizing the thoroughness of his approach to the task. The fact that Dr. Kryzak practices at Midcoast Hospital is a plus. My hospital room was immaculate, as was the entire ward. Nursing and therapy staff, along with food prep and cleaning folks, were all attentive, cheerful, and caring. Follow-up physical therapy services, which are located in the same building Dr. Kryzak's office, have also been excellent. I highly recommend Dr. Kryzak for knee replacement surgery, without reservations.

Dr. Kryzak operated on my 91 year old mother who had fallen and broken her hip... we met him with Dr. Van Orden and were pleasantly surprised how well they both treated my mother with dementia. Hoping I can get in to see him about my knees.
