Surgeon with Great Interpersonal Skills
Dr. H understands that, aside of medical competence, the human connection with the patient. Personable and friendly, he listens carefully, and is low-keyed. Dr, H, remember the first names of my wife and myself and used them repeatedly during our visit,

This doctor might be a great doctor, but good luck getting an appointment. After leaving urgent care with a broken wrist and a soft splint, the nurses there said to call this doctor to be seen within the next week. The nurse who answered the phone was so apathetic. It was 4pm on a Friday before a holiday weekend. Why would she care? So now my dad is left with a soft splint for nearly 2 weeks. They better hope he doesn’t need anything more serious than a cast

Dr. Huizenga performed emergency surgery on my wrist and did an excellent job. I had a quick and thorough recover. I even went back to him for a second opinion for another situation.
