Dr. Thomas Holmes, MD

I've been a patient of Dr. Holmes for the past couple of years and have received the very best of care from him. He actually takes the time to converse with me face to face, unlike some other doctors who focus primarily on their computer screens. Dr. Holmes is extremely knowledgeable about the latest research and treatments for my illness, and he genuinely cares about his patients. I've recommended several of my friends to him because I know he will show the same caring concern to them as he does to me.

The compassion and dedication is above medical standards. You talk he listens. He worked hard, to stop my seizures. He has a very dedicated staff. Dr. Holmes works for the patients, and not the family members of the patients. I was important enough to get call backs. I am grateful for such an amazing individual in my corner. Dedicated to life of those others see as lived through enough, in greed this is said: not by Dr Thomas Holmes, always 'we have another thing to try and work towards.' I am physically impaired and punished but grateful for such a wonderful bunch and Dr.

Just wanted to respond to the negative rating that was a coward and couldn’t leave their name. Dr. Holmes is an amazing Dr. His office staff is set by Wellstar, not him. Complain about Wellstar, not the Dr.

I've been seeing Dr. Holmes routinely since about 2009. He's a very good doctor. He is compassionate, takes allotted time with you, listens to your concerns and is extremely knowledgeable the only negative is office staff is rude and lots of turnover. Dr Holmes was Marietta Neuro then Wellstar Hospital System bought them, the local oncologists practice and others.. Now all these good doctors have horrible front desk staff hired by Wellstar and NOT the doctors.. Doctors have nothing to do with their front office people. They are employees themselves now. You just have to get past the front desk and you have access to a really great doctor.

He is compassionate, takes time with you, listens to your complaints and is extremely knowledgeable the only negative is one of his office staff; Kiera not so good.

This is the worst medical experience I have EVER had. Whatever you do, do NOT contact this doctor. Just trying to get an appointment was an absolute nightmare. You must fax them reams of paperwork just to get someone to speak with you. For some inexplicable reason, it takes them 2-3 days just to receive a fax! When you speak with people from the office, they are all rude and entirely unwilling to be helpful. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. Terrible!

Dr. Thomas Holmes is truly a Godsend!! He is both patient & extremely thorough, giving a concerted effort to answer all questions and perform necessary tests, which revealed the root cause of my medical issue. I highly recommend this practice, as the staff and Dr. Holmes provide efficient and effective service!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Holmes. He is such a great doctor and so personable, professional and kind. I never feel rushed in my appointments and ALWAYS feel every concern I have is valued and addressed. I feel very blessed to have him as my physician.

Dr. Holmes took the time to listen to what was going on with my husband's health. Dr. Holmes conveyed that his well being is important to him. He set a plan in place to make sure that my husband progressed safely. He made sure to schedule my husband for rehab to see how my husband's body reacted to exercise, thankfully, because it was discovered that his BP shot up while walking. I could have killed him, I can't say enough about Dr. Holmes, he truly cares about his patients. thank you

When I opened up this review system, I was in disbelief that this exceptional doctor could have only received a three-star rating. Then, I read a few five-star ratings which certainly reflect mt experience with this doctor. My concern is that patients who could really benefit from the care of this truly superior physician may not look beyond this mediocre first rating. Of all the fine physicians Wellstar has, he is absolutely the best.

Dr. Holmes diagnosed me after five years of feeling lousy and going to every type of doctor I could think of, being told everything was fine and told I had chronic fatigue syndrome and live with it. Dr. Holmes performed the right tests, found the proper diagnosis and put me on a medication that has literally turned my life around. In a few months I've gone from sitting on a recliner with fatigue and strange feelings to starting to live again. Thank you Dr. Holmes!

Great Doctor! Extremely smart and kind. He has a willingness to listen and really ask you questions. His visits are not in a hurry. I highly recommend him!

I had a very pleasant experience with my visit to Dr. Holmes. I needed an appointment scheduled urgently and they were able to schedule one within just a few days. He listened very well, was very understanding, very thorough and was happy to answer any questions I had. He was very kind and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a neurologist.

My son has been going to Emory for over a year and it has been horrible. Our visit with Dr. Holmes was great because he took time to come up with a plan to help my son with his epilepsy and observed him for other health issues. He was so kind, observant, and thorough. He listens and cares. I highly recommend him and see why Dr. Horn, another great doctor at Kennestone, recommended him. We have trust in a Doctor again and that is priceless.
