Dr Herschmiller great; clinical staff not
Overall good experience with Dr. Herschmiller. Follow through from clinical staff poor. Tried several days in advance for pain meds following TKR. No follow through. Cause me to rethink any recommendation

I saw Dr Herschmiller for a second opinion regarding a hip replacement, that another surgeon on the mainland had recommended. Herschmiller did an exam, took xrays, listened carefully, and said I was not at all a candidate. How rare it is to find a surgeon who does NOT simply want to push you into surgery. Wonderful experience and if I ever do need orthopedic surgery, I will be coming back to see Dr Herschmiller first stop.

I had a total knee operation last Nov. 2016 at Olympic Medical Center. Dr. Herschmiller was my physician.. I was in the hospital 2 days. From the day I had surgery I have had no pain in my knee. Dr. Herschmiller is a wonderful surgeon. I am now 4 months out from surgery..I am completely pain free and have been since surgery. My ROM is 0 - 115 . Dr. Herschmiller straightened out my knee and I walk perfectly normal ..I am happy I chose Dr. Herschmiller..? I have the best knee in Washington

Too long I had postponed necessary replacement of both knees. Dr Herschmiller's credentials in orthopedic surgery (and as anOlympic rower) were outstanding and impressive. The Columbia U fellowship is remarkable! He has been fastidious in his operating skills, follow up care, professional standards and demeanor. I am grateful, satisfied beyond expectations and pleased Port Angeles is his chosen hometown now --- what a blessing!!
