I met Dr. Cao, due to having gone to Sherman's Immediate Care, they sent me to Sherman Hospital's ER. They took tests and found the pain I had was flank pain. That's the first I knew that I had Stage 4 kidney cancer. He was the oncologist that came to see me when I was admitted to Sherman. He took great care to make sure I understood & didn't panic. He set up a plan of for surgery & treatment . He made sure everything moved quickly... so I'd get the best chance at fighting the cancer. He conferred with other doctors. That's how I ended up getting the surgery to remove my kidney & the tumor within 2 weeks from my diagnosis. I have recovered from my surgery & having immunotherapy treatment. I'm more grateful than words can say for him. He cares & is willing to consult other doctors when needed, anything to make sure his patients are getting the best care that's possible!

I have a rare genetic disorder and I have seen Dr. Cao and I think he is brilliant. He is compassionate and understanding and he LISTENS to you. He tries to come up with the best plan of attack and considers what you have to say. That is extremely rare when it comes to doctors. My disease cannot be treated by just anyone so it is important to have that level of trust and confidence in the doctor that I have. I'm extremely grateful to this man
