Prior to my appointment, I was uncertain if my issues were a typical result of the recent surgery (and the recovery process) -- which will naturally decrease over time -- or, was something else happening that needed to be addressed. The doctor was very thorough in determining what was going on and I appreciate the extra time and effort that it took to accomplish that.

Empathy
I am a new patient to Dr McKinney. My first visit with him was a full hour and I found him inquisitive and concerned which is exactly what I want in a physician. Not only did he get a full history but he ordered all of the tests that would confirm the diagnosis. I was so impressed with him that I told my wife about it and she decided to see him as well. I recommend him highly.

Dr MacKinney is the best physician I've ever had. I don't say this lightly; I'm an advanced practice RN with 50 years of experience. I have recommended him to others!

The doctor needed to attend a meeting soon after examining me. Though there wasn't much time, he made sure to do a complete examination and found something worth noting.

Follow-up Care
My husband changed PCP to Dr. McKenney last year. He is a Stage 4 cancer patient with many other health issues. He switched to have all of his care at Froedtert. My husband takes round the clock pain medicine because of his cancer and back issues. At his first visit, Dr McKenney did an HIV blood test and urine screen fro drugs! How humiliating for my husband!! And now my husband has ADHD and narcolepsy and needs his ADHD medicine. He has had nothing but a run around trying to get this prescription filled through this doctor and his office! And good luck actually talking to someone in his office! We have never had care like this from Froedtert before!
