Dr. Theodore Knatt, MD

Rude, short patience, nasty disposition, talked to me as a nurse like I was slow without ever understanding the nature of the incident, talked to my patient’s daughter like she was bothering him which baffled me. The care is definitely not there, I’ve never meet you Dr. Knatt but through a phone conversation and you were one of the most inconsiderate, disinterested MD I’ve seen. Keep in mind not everyone have a medical background and may not understand the way we spreak as healthcare professionals but it’s our duty to explain with compassion and to make sure the individual understands. I’m a nurse and was not impressed with you at all. P.S never forget where you started and please treat people better.

Find another doctor who will take the time to talk to you. His staff was very kind, but I should have listened to the reviews. He sent in a referral to get a MRI. After my imaging, he called me that afternoon to tell me that I didn’t need surgery. I then started to ask him a question about my injury, and he told me that he had patients to attend to and said he couldn’t spend all his time on the phone. He hung up. That phone call was 2 minutes long. I was not given any information or instructions on moving forward. He refused to prescribe me anymore medication to help with the pain. He said take he can’t prescribe medication to patients that he doesn’t perform surgery on. Weird, because he sent in a medication for me the day I saw

Wait times were as expected for a busy office, I was made comfortable and treated professionally. Dr Knatt was very thorough and made the correct diagnosis with my wrist. His treatment plan was precise and thought out. I would have had to prematurely retire from my career had he not been able to treat me. Now I shattered my ankle and will be back to see him on Monday! I have complete confidence that he is the best choice for the job!

He couldn’t get me out of the room fast enough. I’m having shoulder issues due to calcium buildup. He immediately asked if I wanted a shot. I said no because I wasn’t currently in pain in that moment. Just a few minutes into the visit he stood up while I was mid sentence asking a question and he said he had other things he had to go do and wanted me to follow him out the exam room. Horrible bedside manners. He didn’t care to help me understand what’s going on with my shoulder at all. Seems as soon as I turned down the shot, the visit was over. And when I had to find my own way back to check out, because he didn’t walk me, the first thing the girl asked was did I get a shot.

I met Dr. Knatt for the first time at his office in the month of March 2022 concerning my hip. While showing me a CT scan of my problem hip, i asked him what could he do to heal me? He said only God could heal me. I liked that answer. Then he said I could take shots for pain, I said No. He said I needed a total hip replacement. I didn't hesitate and said can we do it in November and the answer was Yes. I had the surgery, everything went excellent. I give glory to God and thanks to Dr. Knatt for allowing God to use him in the way He has. I am healed. Its been 2 months and three weeks. I have been doing good since day one of surgery. I strongly recommend Dr. Knatt... he did me well for surgery and care.

Dr Knatt could not have wanted to spend less time with me. Literally 5minutes into the visit he was standing up and opening the door while I was actively asking questions. No concern for addressing my questions, generally demeaning and insulting. Also, there’s no other orthopedic surgeon there, so you can’t even switch doctors. Tried to complain to supervisors at Lourdes but was given the run around and largely ignored. If he performs your surgery you will be stuck with incompetent care and no other options.

Doctor Knatt did a remarkable job on my hip replacement surgery. I now have to get the other hip done. I’m sorry to see that he is not in Baton Rouge anymore. Now I have to find someone else who is as good as he. I need recommendations.

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. K. He is always very professional and explains in terms that I can understand. He is not with Ochsner on Summa. I am trying to find his new location.

The BEST surgeon I've ever met and worked with. Technically skilled in all areas of surgery. Takes care of his patients as if they're his family. Most of all LOVES his career and has ELITE accolades in Orthopaedic surgery.

Dr. Knatt did the surgerical repair to repair my 82 year old dad's hip fracture (rod placed to connect upper femur to ball joint). Dr. Knatt has excellent bedside manner to communicate with my elderly parents and faintly members. He was very professional, clear, and concise in answering all of our questions too. He also provided very clear explanation of what the procedure entailed. Dad had a ton of health issues. Dr. Knatt was very confident in handling all areas of this surgery and repair.
