I asked my PCP to refer me to a cardiologist when I was diagnosed with high cholesterol and my liver wasn't happy with the usual statins. Previously I was also seen by a GI specialist and nothing worked. My PCP referred me to Dr Chow and he solved my problem with the right kind of medication. That was years ago. Now I have an interesting cardiac condition that is benign but scary when it happens (PVC). Additionally I have an uncommon condition that needs further study via an implanted monitor. He explained it clearly, and I am pleased to contribute to more knowledge on this condition, to help others too. So I agreed. His staff is friendly, they return calls right away, appointments are easy to make. I am referring him to my friend.

It doesn't seem to matter what your situation is if you are a new patient. He'll put you through the $3,000 tests. I have the 30 days egg, CT scan, and the street test (Semstamibi) done. After all the procedures, Dr call back saying everything is normal while my symptom persists. He did mentioned that my heart was enlarged but didn't offer any help. He then says to prescribe me with some blood pressure medicine without even check what I am currently taking. When i told him that I am taking such medicine already. He said let's revisit the case in 6 months. I don't think he has any clue about my issue. He may spend 5 mins to read my result. I can tell he is not prepare and not even care.

Extremely conscientious Dr who does what's right for patients: Dr Chow is a very experienced, conscientious, honest Dr. who performed what seemed to be a successful atrial flutter ablation procedure on me Nov 14, 2018. Unfortunately, my atrial flutter & ultra fast heart beat came back. An Aug 28, 2019 he did a cardioversion which worked for 4 weeks but then hi heart rate & irregular rhythm returned. He's doing a 2nd more complicated ablation on Dec 4th at RMC (Regional Medical Center). I trust Dr Chow much more than any of the ER or hospital Dr's I had at SJ -Oct 8, 2018, Nov 13-15, 2018 & Aug 28, 2019. Often they gave the wrong advice. I've also seen Dr Wang at Stanford hospital who is excellent but the bureaucracy there is overwhelming and too much for me.

My dad was admitted by Dr. Chow on February 23and stayed in the hospital until March 1, Dr. Chow did not visit my dad at all during 7 days even we have repeated requests. I don't know about his skills, I do know he does not care for his patient.

Not interested in patient care. Very distant person. Seen in initial consultation, then defer further care to NP, doing many fancy tests with no results ever discussed, and refer out to another cardiologist. Called about diagnosis, office requested return appointment (while being referred out, with blank previous visitnon-sense!), and doctor would not return call original referring physician.
