Feeling my leg Over my work cargos to find the swelling instead of looking at my leg and foot to see the bruising and severity of the swelling and inflammation. Then treats me for what he “thinks” is my diagnosis even though I explained that the cardiac team had ruled it out. He wanted to throw antibiotics at me instead of doing a proper exam or sending me for specific testing. He then tells me he’d be out of office the following week but someone else from the clinic could see me if needed whilst he was away. I asked him for a STAT referral to vascular at which point he says he didn’t know that Duke has such an office at that location. Needless to say, 5 days later, I was in the ER being diagnosed with an AV Fistula and I needed to be treated. I’ve lost confidence in his ability to care for me so I’m looking for another PCP. Furthermore, I want to report him for not so much as looking at my blue and swollen foot. Unprofessional is putting it mildly. Such a disappointment.
