Best PCP ever
I met Dr. Coats early on in her career and I have followed her for my medical care wherever she has moved. She listens, she explains and she cares. She has always provided me with excellent professional, courteous care, she also has a top notch team of nurses and staff.

Dr Coats, my Primary Care Dr for yrs (selected by ins. co) is impatient; spends 15 min per visit; doesn't listen to description of symptoms, cuts me off mid-sentence; and mis-represents info as she voice records notes . Luckily other specialists stepped in to advocate for my health. I've had many health issues, some with lifelong implications but she is not interested in truly solving health challenges, she just wants the patient in front of her to disappear. Condescending manner. Avoid.

I was a patient of Dr. Coats for some 18 years and would still be if I hadn't moved from Austin. I can't say enough about Dr. Coats and her entire medical staff. She and Candace Ashton, APRN & Jeanette Bettes, PA are so knowledgeable, helpful, & compassionate. The office is run very efficiently and rarely did I have to wait longer than a few minutes to meet with them. Once in the exam room, they always took such time to listen and then to come up with a treatment plan. They're super!

15 years ago, Dr. Coats was an outstanding physician. She listened, connected, and understood her patients' needs. Unfortunately, she's now phoning it in. She doesn't listen. Cannot locate records, her office is a shambles and communication is almost non existent. I realize medicine is now de-personalized, but this is a scary joke. I'd look elsewhere.

I went to Dr. Coats to establish a doctor/patient relationship. As part of the intake, I mentioned a recent bout of nausea, which I felt was related to economic and career stress. When I tried to explain myself, she abruptly cut me off and unfairly accused me of "trying to drag her into my problems." My sincere and trusting disclosure got an immediate and harsh rebuke followed by insisting I see a shrink. It's not the shrink I question, it's the atrocious demeanor! FIRST, DO NO HARM, DR. COATS!

She is negligent. Because she is careless and leaves her patient's care to her assistants. I had stage IV cancer. That was totally curable if found in a timely manner. A travesty and my life!

Nurse warned that if Dr. Coats sees patients using cellphones she won't see them. When Dr. Coats arrived, she sat on the opposite side of the room. We spoke for about 3 minutes, but she typed on her laptop for 8. I spoke to her about repairing my broken nose which causes serious sleep apnea. She point blank said surgery never works. When my blood work came back, her notes included an incomplete sentence with no punctuation. She referred to me as her. All I see is laziness and shortcuts.
