Very caring doctor with decades of experience.
My 48-year-old husband has been a patient of Philbin's since he was a child. I had a different primary until a few years ago, when I decided to join his practice, after he was instrumental in a quick diagnosis that saved my husband's life. He goes above and beyond for each patient. He takes the time during appointments to really ask about any issues you have and follows up with visits when you have hospital stays, working with hospital doctors over your care. His staff is always courteous, knowledgable and prompt. He absolutely lets you know he cares about your well-being and never rushes you through an appointment. He also selflessly makes himself available to his patience, far after business hours. I also appreciate that it is a teaching practice, where you get to watch him patiently extend his knowledge to the next generations. I could not recommend him or his practice enough.

I found Dr. Philbin to be an excellent doctor with decades of experience. I never feel rushed and he spends time talking to you about your health and diet. He really listens to what you have to say, which not all doctors do, or have time to do anymore. Labs can be drawn on-site, Dr. Philbin calls you with lab results and explains what the numbers mean. There is on-street parking available.

After prostate operation I couldn't get help from my Urologist -- more pain and more bleeding -- my Urologist appt was two weeks away -- could not get his staff to make it earlier. I called Dr. Philbin my PCP -- he had me come in immediately -- did a urine culture -- discovered a continuing Resistant E-Coli infectiion -- prescribed targeted antibiotic injections daily for seven days -- by the second day I was getting better -- less pain and blood -- now all clear ten days later! Hurray!
