The best Dr
I just wanted to say, as I've read some of the other reviews. Dr Zahir has been my Dr for almost a decade. I have a congenital defect in my hand that no other person (according to documents) has ever had. Dr tarique brought in his own dad, he kept trying to figure it out when so many Dr's just gave up. Dr Tarique and his wife are both amazing people. Dr's aren't magicians. Sometimes it takes time and Dr Tarique was the reason I found out what I had been dealing with all my life. I read some of the other reviews and I was just appalled that anyone would think he was just about money. He's the opposite of that. I work search and rescue and am often out of town and injured and Dr Tarique has always been there for me. Everyone has their right to their opinion but for me Dr Tarique will always be my Dr. He's a wonderful Dr and in my experience he'll do whatever he can to help you.

Worst Doctor I Have Ever Visited
I saw this doctor over the course of a year or so and it's clear he's in business for the money first, and your health second. He cuts you off mid-sentence, doesn't appear to listen or hear your questions, and has the bedside manner of a used car salesperson. I was misdiagnosed on one occasion due to his negligence. He is also emotionally incompetent; quick to make wild observations during office visits (throwing around words like leukemia, hashimoto's disease, insert rare disease or condition here) like they are facts. Then he will send you out for expensive tests to people he recommends. This patterned happened to both my wife and myself during our time under his "care." Spoiler: The only thing this doctor did for me was give me anxiety. It took me years to regain trust in doctors after seeing Dr. Zahir. I'd recommend literally anyone over this guy. He should have his license taken away.

Very caring
Both physicians in this practice take the time to listen and to explain. Dr. Zahir is quick to follow-up on any messages left through the portal. Very caring and professional.

Best doctor in Northern Virginia
Been going to see Dr Zahir for 10 + years. He used to be located in Fairfax but moved to Reston not too long ago. He is the best doctor in northern Virginia. I would not change doctors for any reason!! He is always professional, personable, knowledgeable and takes the time needed to answer all my questions. I would follow him any place he goes. He has been there for me on many medically difficult moments of my life and has always given me good advice. He has even called me after hours to give me results of my labs and personally discuss them with me. I can’t express in words how wonderful Dr Zahir is. On a huge plus his wife Dr Taseen Mir also works in the same office so when Dr Zahir is not available she takes care of my appointments. She is equally as impressive as him. They are wonderful doctors!!! I have recommended many of my friends and family. Definitely give them a chance.

I would not recommend this physician, he is unprofessional. I was a patient of his for a short while. Visits with him were incredibly quick so he could pack as many patients in as possible. He started charging $75 per visit even though my PPO insurance stated $25. While in his office a number of patients questioned this, I did not until he wanted to charge me this twice in one week. When I mentioned to his receptionist that he would lose patients over this she called and told me that he was dropping me. I have been a nurse for over 40 years and I very rarely go to the MD's as I am fairly healthy . But this guy's complete disregard for his patients shocked me. I have a new PCP and my recommendation to others is to steer clear. This guy is a businessman NOT a caring physician. Christine RN

Been very pleased with my 2 annual physicals as he took time to answer all my questions and provided good assessment on my status. In addition, he is pro-active to recommend exams as needed based on age and condition that demonstrated to me he knows what is needed to maintain patient good health.

Dr. Zahir is very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He's genuinely warm and caring about one's complaints, and rather than seeking a quick fix, takes the time to get to know you and understand your circumstances and ailments. He's very accessible, considerate, and competent. I'll drive out of my way to continue to have him as my primary care physician.

Dr Zahir is the best primary care physician I have had; he looks at the bigger picture and connects the dots for you. No primary physician ever did that for me. I tried four or five physicians in the Northern VA area and none of them gave me more than 2-5 minutes of their time. I have been with him for more than 6 years and I have recommended him to my siblings as well as to my parents. The referrals he gave me have been among the best in their field. He is accommodating with scheduling as well
