PATIENTS BEWARE!
For many years I have held my silence about this 'doctor'. My experience with him is that he is smug, rude, and above all has no empathy for his patients or for their families. It is my considered opinion that his infinite arrogance far surpasses his abilities. My wife died prematurely under his 'so-called' care when he was at Tampa Hospital. Just to be clear, I am NOT writing this out of some sort of vengeful act, but rather to give his current and potential patients information based on my experiences. After my wife died, I had her records reviewed to confirm what I already knew from being by her side around the clock. I chose not to pursue a case because it was not what my wife would have wanted. I bring this out now because I nearly lost my life 2 years ago to Covid and suffered severe lung damage. I am alive and still recovering because of great doctors. I know the difference between good and lousy care as a patient and as a caregiver and loving husband. Do your research!

A fantastic doctor!
I've been seeing him for about 15 years and he has kept me doing great post 14 years lung transplant! I've seen some bad reviews and I think these people just did not give him the time to see that he does care and is a great doctor! I had doubts at first but the more I got to know him I learned that he does care and was glad to have him as my doctor. Regardless he has been good at looking after me and keeping me alive and doing well!

Dr. Haddad has been my doctor since 2012.
He is a fantastic doctor & human being. He truely cares about his patients! Dr. Haddad brought me through my bilateral lung transplant in great shape. I have remained his patient for the past 10 years and I am still in great shape!!! I believe he is the best transplant pulmonologist in Florida. I trust him with my life and would also recommend him to everyone, including all members of my family.

Awful Doctor. This doctor has been treating my father at Mayo clinic and has absolutely no bedside manner. This doctor told my father it was his fault he got sick, because he did not take his medications as instructed. Which is false. And even if that were the case, that is not appropriate communication to a patient, especially someone 70+ years old. This has happened multiple times. He is very rude and condescending. I hope he gets more complaints to the point he is removed from the transplant team. It is very frustrating when he is the doctor on call. Someone like this should not be working directly with patients. Please, if you had negative experience with him, let someone know.

Dr. Haddad was seeing my dad at the Mayo Clinic for complications he had after surgery. My father had a lung transplant 8 years ago at the Mayo Clinic and we have been beyond satisfied with the care and attention all the lung doctors have had towards my dad. Unfortunately Dr. Haddad is new to the team and does not fit the culture of the Mayo Clinic. For one, he has absolutely no empathy towards his patients and the worst bedside manner I have ever seen! My family and I have been at my fathers bed Side for the past two months and every time Dr. Haddad enteres the room he NEVER acknowledges my family and I or my dad who is the patient! He has already given up hope on my dad and I feel that because we still have hope, my father has become an inconvenience and burden to him. He enters the room with a look of annoyance that we asked for him to see me dad. He is extremely condescending with his remarks to me and my family. Mayo Clinic has made a poor selection in choosing this doctor.

Dr. Haddad has been my doctor for the past six years and I can not say enough about what an extraordinary doctor he is. He is so caring he or his staff promptly helps me with my prescriptions or procedural questions. Can you believe a doctor who actually cares? He also goes out of his way to help me and my family navigate through the maze that is transplant. Transplant is a scary situation and it takes a detailed doc like Haddad to guide you and your family to success.

Dr Haddad was the attending physician during my husband's lung transplant hospitalization at Tampa General where he died March 21, 2016 in an ICU isolation room 5 months after a failed surgery. He was in ICU 35 days the first time, in-patient more than 70. In that time Haddad was rude, condescending, a poor communicator, and did not talk to me in a professional manner. Certainly not supportive. Some nurses said "that's how Dr Haddad is," as if I should give up expecting professional behavior.

Dr. Haddad is rude, dismissive, condescending and doesn't listen. If you are struggling with a severe and life-threatening illness, find someone who will listen to you and address your needs and concerns instead of blowing you off. He won't even call back and has multiple office staff call back relaying broken messages instead. He was on the phone with hospital staff talking about a patient being crazy and saying all he could do is give him O2. Not at all a good match for me.
