I arrived 30 minutes before my consultation, the place looked nice from the outside, clean and tidy. But they made me wait more than 40 minutes after my appointment to come in and the sheets and the robe of the client before me were still in the room on the stretcher. The women who entered me continued to remove everything that the previous patient had used in one fell swoop and immediately took out the paper that goes on the stretcher. She gave me a robe and told me to take off all my clothes, including my panties and bra, and to wait there for the doctor who would come. Maybe the process up to this point is their usual one, maybe to speed up the work, but I really felt like I was in a factory and I was the product. I had already had my cytology test just a month ago and I had my negative results there along with the results of all the other blood tests I had done, which they never looked at or asked me the reason for my visit. The only thing that mattered was that I undressed quickly so that the Doctor could come and do a vaginal examination without even knowing the reason for my visit, which was to remove a contraceptive device from my arm.

Excellent, Puts You at Ease
I love Dr. Sowby so much. I had a total hysterectomy and the process was amazingly easy with very little discomfort. Her office staff is helpful and the surgery coordinator was on top of everything. I now see Dr. Sowby for my annual check ups as well. I feel she knows me, cares about me (genuinely) and she addresses my concerns without ever rushing. No one likes to go to the Gyno, but my experiences have been as good as they can be.

Worst Service Ever
I went for my annual checkup on a Friday at 2:30 pm. Her assistant was taking my blood pressure and asking me the routine questions when someone knocked on the door to tell her she should hurry up because the doctor had to leave soon. I wasn't her last patient of the day, there was another lady waiting after me. She told me she would have to finish asking me the questions at another time because the doctor was in a hurry. She rushed me to get undressed and ready for the check up instead. When the doctor came she just asked me a few questions checked me really fast and left. I didn't even get my pap smear because according to her now it is supposed to be every 5 years. I don't understand why they give appointments when the doctor has no time to see their patients and give them the time and attention they need. I thought it was very unprofessional and disrespectful. She said she would request my mammogram results to the place I got it done with and days later her assistant called me ask

The Best
After having a miscarriage due to having two ovarian cysts. The OBGYN I had and disliked said I had to see a gyne-oncologist. Dr. Sowby was amazing from the moment I met her, she was empathetic and assured me that my surgery would go well and it did. Wish she could be my OBGYN, but she’s definitely my gynecologist. I absolutely love her.

don't get sick
Went to see Dr Sowby in Augst 2022. Said I had a pro lapsed bladder but not too bad. Called in probably November/December and left a message I needed to know what to do about a medication she prescribed as I was having high blood pressure, nausea, dizziness. I hadn't started the meds until right before the call. I left the message with the assistant and no one called me back. I went to my PCP and he examined me and said no it wasn't. I recently thought I had a UTI and did a telehealth call. Dr sent me a prescription for antibiotics. After taking them, no, it isn't the problem. I am urinating every hour, all day and all night. So today, February 27, I call to get in to see her or anyone, and nothing available for over 3 weeks. No one anywhere at the office can see me. I asked if there wasn't a way I could see someone? No, go to the ER. I'm not stupid. I know when that's necessary. And, yes, the cancer patients are way more important and get priority. Everyone knows that.
