Dr. Tanya Kalmar, MD

I had a really bad experience today with Dr. Tanya Kalmar. She was rude, asked very personal questions, and overstepped her boundaries. I was extremely disappointed and upset. She made me feel very uncomfortable with inappropriate questions. Some things are personal, and I feel she crossed a line, making me feel unsafe. I’ve decided to change my gynecologist.

She didn’t provide all the necessary information, very quickly appointment. Basically she didn’t explain anything.

Strongly do not recommend this practitioner, especially if you are pregnant.

She was the worst doctor. She was 45 minutes late. I was tired of waiting her at the time. She didn’t even say hi or introduce herself to us during the visit. She was rude and didn’t even explain anything. I didn’t like the way she present herself to me. The way she checked my baby during ultrasound and checking heartbeat was so unusual. She didn’t even explain the heart beat rate of my baby, size of my baby. This is not the way how other doctor used to look me before. I am disappointed by her with the visit.

This week was my third appointment with Dr Kalmar in the last year and my husbands first time meeting her. We were both very pleased by her care. She is very knowledgeable and explains things clearly and concisely. She took the time to answer our questions and was very kind. My husband hasn’t met any of the other doctors at St Agnes Women’s OBGYN (yet) and based on our last visit he doesn’t want to - he only wants to be seen by her going forward. I wish we could guarantee she is on call the day we give birth, but I know it doesn’t work like that.

The office was very busy that day and yet, she took the time to listen to me and provide me with additional information. I have an ongoing issue that she was able to help me with. Dr. Kalmar was compassionate and supportive.

Dr. Kalmar took her time to listen and understand. She provided thoughtful, easy to understand service. Very easy to talk to.

I had the best time ever. Every one was kind and Dr Tanya paid attention to all my needs and guide me well. She will be my number one from now

I saw Dr. Kalmar on 31OCT23 and had a great experience with her. This is my first pregnancy and she really made me feel at ease. One thing that really stood out for me is how she treated me. As a plus size woman who is pregnant I can say that other providers at this practice have made me feel less than and more focused on my weight than any else. Dr. Kalmar was the first provider that treated me like a regular person. She didn’t focus on my weight and for that I’m extremely thankful. I felt like we had an actual conversation about my pregnancy instead of being talked at. Dr. Kalmar made me feel listened to and validated any concerns I had. It really felt like she was there for me and that I was just as valuable as her time.

Dr. Kalmar is great! She is a great listener and she explains everything in detail. I feel heard and comfortable in her care. Thank you Dr. Kalmar!

The doctor seemed rushed and irritated. When we asked questions she would often cut us off and give blunt responses. As first time parents of color, we felt uncomfortable leaving our appointment.

This was my first visit with Dr. Kalmar and was a great visit job well done. I would recommend friends and family.

Dr. Kalmar is patient and thorough during my appointments. In fact, all the women in my immediate family are cared for by Dr. Kalmar!
