Dr. Tamara Richards, MD

This doctor and her office are terrible. They do not follow through on referrals. They do not read records. They are incredibly disorganized or just plain lazy. I would not send my worst enemy to this practice.

Dr. Tamara Richards is simply wonderful and I recommend her highly. I have always preferred to work with male GYN doctors because I have found them to be more caring and considerate. But, I must admit it is the first time I found a female ObGYN that made me feel comfortable. She took the time to listen to me and was very patient. Often doctors just act as if they know it all and think that they can diagnose your condition before listening to you. Overall Dr Tamara Richards is an excellent doctor who is knowledgeable, patient and caring. Her assistant Britany was absolutely wonderful too. I was very impressed with my overall experience and If I could give Dr Richards higher than a five star I would.

when i was 22 and still a virgin i went to see Dr. Richards for my first ever pap. I don’t think she even lubed up the speculum. I was screaming out in pain (i have a very high pain tolerance typically), i had told her i was a virgin before the exam even began. i was in so much pain and yelling for her to stop and she did not. she was way too rough with me. the next year i found a new physician. i told her all about it and she was so apologetic and felt so bad for me. within seconds of my exam with my new physician she told me i had a tilted uterus and gave me tips on how to make my exam less painful. Paps are such vulnerable exams, especially when it’s your first and you’re scared. I received no compassion from Dr. Richards.

Dr. Richards is an excellent doctor. She offers treatment options while listening to your concerns. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Richards was professional, attentive and polite. I have been coming to this office for 6 years. She answered all my questions and more.

I had a GYN appointment with Dr. Richard’s for some irregular bleeding and a referral for a fertility clinic. First off, I heard the world “old” at least ten times in the duration of my appointment. I know that I would be a geriatric pregnancy but to told that repeatedly was incredibly disenchanting and unprofessional. I’m 43. Also, had an ultrasound to see about the bleeding, was told I had a septate uterus and fibroids, one of which could be blocking my fallopian tube. Implied that it was a severe indent at the top of my uterus and would have to be shaved down. I left the appointment filled with so much sadness and anxiety. Had to go home, cry and soothe myself with Xanax. I followed up with a Fertility Clinic (Brown) who was very empathetic. Had a hysteroscopy and was told that I have a normal uterus and no fibroids. Might have polyps, which is far better news than a septate uterus with fibroids. So I went two weeks walking around feeling like a failure as a woman.

I highly recommend Dr. Richards. I went to her for a second opinion but I am making her my primary gynecologist. She clearly explained my condition and the treatment options. She encouraged a non-surgerical treatment for my particular situation, which I was very pleased with. She seems both caring and knowledgeable.

She is very attentive and easy to talk with. I felt comfortable with her and would definitely go back.

Very happy with Dr Richards. I was upset that my previous OB doctor had left the practice. I felt very comfortable talking with doctor. Office staff very accommodating making appointment .

Dr. Richards makes the visit as easy and pleasant as possible. She’s an excellent Dr and all the staff there is perfectly kind and helpful.

Dr Richards was professional and personable, answering all my questions thoroughly. I didn’t feel rushed. I’ll be happy to see her again.
