first visit
Positive first visit. The office is clean, neat, and organized and the staff is friendly and professional. They were running a little behind due to computer issues which can happen to anyone. I was assured that this is not normal and were very apologetic for this delay. Dr Collins asked more questions than any other MD ever has. I have every confidence that she will get to the bottom of any and all issues that I have. I felt a connection to Dr. Collins and have confidence in her.

I was a corporate health care fiduciary. First, Crossville Medical Group is dishonest on insurance websites, stating ALL their docs are accepting new patients. Yet when I called, I was told only one, Dr. Collins was accepting new patients. Second, the staff LOST all the copies of medical records I was asked to deliver prior to being "accepted" as a patient. I found this out the day of my appointment. I scheduled a physical, but I learned afterwards, it was a consultation (no what I asked for). Dr. Collins padded the number of appointments I needed -- 3 instead of 1 to increase revenue. My insurance would only pay for one, the physical. And she added more blood work than I requested. For example, she coded thyroid as diagnostic when no issues with meds or dosage and added a Vitamin D test when I just moved to TN from FL and specifically asked her not to. All of this added up to extra cost. I asked for recoding on bloodwork prior to getting it done and Dr. C refused.

Dr Collins is always very thorough and has explained things about my conditions other doctors have ever told me! She and I together develop my treatment plan. I have referred her many times to new residents.

I have been Dr. Collins' patient for 3 years. I am blessed to have been referred by a nurse at the FFG Home & Health Fair, for I was new to the area & seeking a competent Primary Care Provider. Tammy Collins is a wonderful, kind, knowledgeable, patient, caring & exceptional doctor. She spends an appropriate amount of time asking questions, answering questions & educating me. Crossville is fortunate to have retained Dr. Collins as the best PCP one could ask for!
