Saw Dr. Shaniger as a second opinion from the PA that I saw in this group at UK. She upheld the prior decision from that group. I went in with positive lab results and both providers disputed the results and therefore decided that I didn't require treatment. We have very few ID drs in my area and another group wouldn't see me because I had already been to UK. So I try to get in to UK ID again and they refuse to make an appointment for me. I contacted Patient Advisary dept at UK and they were to contact me again for an appointment, which they never did. I had to finally make an appointment at University of Cincinnati ID to seek treatment. That was a joke also. Finally got into see the 1 group, Lexington Infectious Disease Consultants with Central Baptist Hospital, that wouldn't see because of my visit to UK and have found a wonderful Dr with thst group. Save your time going yo UK Infectious disease and go to the other group 1st.
