Dr. Tait Olaveson, DO

Performed a routine colonoscopy on a family member and ‘pushed too hard’ (his own words at her follow up appointment). After her emergency surgery for bowel perforation, his celebration in post op was that he had spared her the burden of a colostomy bag. She was readmitted to the hospital after discharge due to major infection. She spent eight weeks with a nurse coming to the house twice a day for wound care. No apology was ever offered. I would never trust Dr Olaveson

Gall Bladder surgery for my husband. He is excellent and takes fantastic care of his patients.

I ended up having to have multiple hernia surgeries because he did a poor job. After having the third one done by another surgeon it is clear that he is careless and inexperienced. Go somewhere else if you want it done right the first time.

He makes it a point to ask if all of my questions have been answered every time we’ve seen him. He explained the surgery very thoroughly to me and has also been very thorough at all of my follow up visits.

Would recommend Dr. Olaveson, very nice enviroment, staff is very helpful and Dr. answered all my concerns.

If I can leave zero Stars I would! When I asked if Dr olaveson would put my daughter on antibiotics after surgery he said she wouldn't get an infection. She did! When we finally got to his office, post was spewing out of her belly. His bedside manner was horrible! He didn't give her an option for anything to try to reduce the pain as he squoze her belly, he didn'ti rrigate it either. Instead of using a sterile instrument, he used the wooden end of a Q-tip to shove the packing into her open wound

Dr. Olaveson is a remarkable surgeon and really cares about his patients. He takes the time to listen to your concerns and answered everyone of my questions. He really takes the time to explain everything to you and truly makes an effort to make sure all your needs are met. I would recommend Dr. Olaveson to every family member and friend.

I had been experiencing abdominal pain for some time, about two weeks. I saw multiple physicians in the span of three weeks with blood tests, ultra sounds and a CT scan. Nothing was shown in these so a HIDA scan was recommended. The HIDA scan showed a non functioning gal bladder, one surgeon disagreed with the scan saying it was not working the day of the scan. Dr. Olaveson looked at all the work done and got me in the next day to have my gal bladder removed to finally releive me of the pain

I will very likely recommend Dr. Olaveson to others. He was kind, thoughtful and to the point.

Dr. Olaveson removed my gall bladder on an emergency basis and is a fine caring surgeon using the most modern technology. I was up and around in just a few hours and on my way to good health. I can highly recommend him.
