Horrible psychiatrist. Never spent any time talking to me. Spoke for maybe 5 minutes each appointment. I wasted over a year of treatment being prescribed low doses of numerous medications that never worked.

Wasn’t at all helpful. I left the appointment feeling like I didn’t talk to anyone. Being a young professional the best advice given was to quit and prescribe medication that wasn’t at all proven to be clinically effective. Waste of time and money.

Taghi spent less than five minutes each time I see him a total lack of interest. I've researched medications online I wanted to try instead he put me on five medication's that don't even work. He often goes out of town without telling people.

Dr. Shafie has outright stated that he does not like to prescribe psychotropic medication to children, which is the what a pediatric psychiatrist does. When he has presented me with reasons why, he verbally cites outdated studies, I know these are outdated because I have had pediatric cardiologists and physicians provide me with actual current information. When I attempt to advocate for my child, Dr. Shafie threatens to discontinue my son's medication. He is wholly unprofessional.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Shafie?
Dr. Shafie has consistently refused to discuss evidence based treatments for complex disorders. Further, fully one third of appointments scheduled with the physician are canceled by staff within one week of that appointment due to the physician being out of the office, with replacement appointments often being scheduled as much as two months away. Medication refills are difficult to obtain, meaning that critical medications are missed without taper more than once. Telephone calls go unanswered.
