Dr. Syed Rizvi, MD

My family member spent 9 days at Casa Colina with a chronic condition that made them unable to eat or drink due to intense abdominal pain. As the attending physician, Dr. Rizvi made no effort to listen to my family member’s needs or push for any testing or treatment that would help diagnose the issue and move towards a resolution. He also tried to discharge my family member before they were able to eat or drink, and he essentially forced us to leave and seek treatment elsewhere. I have never met a physician who so clearly lacks compassion or an understanding of complex medical issues. His dismissiveness nearly led my family member to have to life-threatening medical decisions for themselves and go for days without proper nutrition or care. I would strongly recommend that anyone placed under his care request an attending physician who is more compassionate, understanding, and a better listener.

Dr Syed Rizvi is a joke. I had a sore on my face that kept reappearing right underneath my eye, and he would just prescribe antibiotics instead of doing a biopsy on it. I finally did my own research on google about it, and demanded to get blood work done and a few days later, a nurse from his office calls me and tells me everything was fine with my results. I get the results in my account for my lab work and NOTHING is fine, so I called back and he’s not even apologetic for the mistake his staff made. My new doctor is working on fixing the problem now but stay away from this doctor.

I am a new patient and I gladly give five stars to Dr. Rizvi and his staff after my initial visit. All were thorough in establishing my medical history and analyzing my current health and proposed treatment. Prescriptions were promptly submitted to the pharmacy and referrals for specialized treatment provided in a timely manner.

Assures patient gets best possible Care. If needed, Dr. Rizvi will refer you to specialized care givers. He has a mild manor but is direct when explaining your your health.

Dr. Rizvi has an excellent bedside manner and is thorough. I always feel confident when I leave that he is giving me the best care and or follow-up. He is easy to talk to and easy to understand. My pet peeve is waiting and that never happen. He appreciates my time as I do his!

Dr. Rizvi is so smart, kind and professional. He really cares for his patients and treats them with so much respect. God bless him. I love how easy it is to make appointments and check reports online. So organized and efficient.

Dr Rizvi is a highly educated healer with a human touch.

I have moved many times, lived in many places and have seen many doctors. Dr. Rizvi consistently takes the time to make sure I have what I need. The thought of moving again makes me sad because then I would have to find another doctor, and I don't think they would be a helpful as Dr. Rizvi.

As always Dr Rizvi was professional and took the time to answer all of my questions in depth. We are blessed to have him for a family doctor.

Dr. Rizvi is a great listener. He always hears my issues and deals with each one. Most doctors I've seen in the past are a monologue, where Dr. Rizvi has a dialog so I always leave his office with clarity. I'm a long term client of Dr. Rizvi. I recommend him to friends and family.

I have seen Dr. Rizvi once every two months for the past year because of pain in my lower abdominal. Even though I have seen him over 20 times HE HAS NOT REMEMBERED ME. He introduces himself to me every time I come in as if we have never met! On follow up appointments and appointments to hear results he has no idea what is going on with me and seems like he genuinely does not have a clue. Last year he told me I had cancer, when I came back to follow up he said "OOPS WRONG PERSON! MY MISTAKE"

Pleasant experience, back office MA was professional and friendly. Informed us a Nurse Practitioner Student from APU would be evaluating before physician's evaluation. Very professional, Dr. Rizvi came in after Student NP presented to him and then examined my daughter. Only suggestion is that front desk staff could be a little more friendly or maybe just smiling would make a difference, not rude in any way just not as pleasant as back office staff.

To whom it concerns, This past Monday, I had called in to make an appt. on Tuesday but I had to be put on hold to see if it was possible. Later, I was told that Wednesday at 3 p.m. was the earliest to be seen by Dr. Rizvi. When arriving, I was being seen by a student from Azusa College which I was confused of why am I not being seen by my primary dr? I later realized that my primary dr. walked in after being evaluated by a student. What happened to my rights, in the U.S.? Infact I'm INDIGENEOUS
