Dr. Sydney Brehany, MD

She told me she was moving out of state, back ‘home’. But first she asked how I was feeling, and we reviewed my latest labs. All good.

I didn’t see Dr. Brehany at this visit

Unfortunately my experience with Dr Brehany was not positive. It was my first time seeing her and to say she lacked compassion is an understatement. I was crying in the exam room and she could not have cared less. She might be a great medical doctor but I will not be the one to find out as I won’t be seeing her again. I think if she wants to make it she sincerely needs to work on her bedside manner.

Well, the power went out so we were in the dark and she really couldn’t give me a really user-friendly visit so it’s hard to judge but first impressions I wasn’t all that impressed.

This was my first meeting with Dr Brehany and I thought that she asked me the right questions for a patient she 'just' met - a comprehensive conversation followed and - I felt that she really cared. She was through and kind - and ordered an ultra sound test as a follow-up on the issues I was having and I was glad that she 'checked it out' - Thank You Dr Brehany - the result of the ultra-sound were as you predicted - 'nothing for us to worry about' Thanks you again for running the test - now I can stop worrying.

She was on time and very caring.

Dr. Brehany was up-to-date on my labs as well as aware of recent new research about my form of hereditary hemochromatosis. However, she had nothing to offer me about further information, especially with regards to my very high levels of inflammation. She left me with an instruction to come back in six months and to find a specialist who could help me. My PCP had sent me to RMCC in hopes the hematologist/ oncologist would be that specialist, but she wasn't. And she didn't have any ideas who was. Granted, she's new, but I'm old and can't wait more decades for assistance. Doctors want to to their favorite thing. If your ailment is complex, it's nobodies favorite thing. Nobody else has any help to offer, and neither did she, and I waited all year to get in to her, most of which I couldn't walk without crutches,walker or cane, none of which interested her at all. After a 40-minute wait when the man at the front desk didn't ring the buzzer to let them know I was there,they rushed me out.

Incompetent and lacking in compassion. One of the worst doctors that I have come across.
