I was in the eating disorder unit of Sheppard Pratt when I saw her and I quite honestly hated her at the time. She was very tough, but looking back I think it’s what saved my life. 10/10 would have her treat me again if I needed it.

Dr. Savchenko kept trying to force me into her little mold of what I should be and essentially kept telling me I was in denial when I tried to tell her the facts of my illness which had been long since established by my outpatient treatment team. My mother also attempted to explain to her what I had been trying to get across. She then told my mother that she was the also in denial and that she should seek treatment herself. She did not at all take into consideration her patient it felt.
