Dr. Suzanne Freitag, MD

I have had two very positive experiences with Dr. Freitag. She was very professional, yet friendly and approachable. Her office staff, technicians, fellow and scheduler were all very pleasant and helpful. It has been an excellent experience for me - and the view from her waiting room makes you not mind any wait time, even though it was short! I look forward to continuing to see her in the future. I feel very fortunate to live in the Boston area and be able to access such a wonderful, world class hospital and staff. Thank you!

Terrible! 0 Stars Dr. Freitag saw my young daughter 3x. We had to travel an average of an hour each way to all of these appointments. She was significantly late, approximately 2 - 3 hours for every appointment. Before we can see her we see at least 2-3 other medical professionals that ask the exact same questions causing me to have to repeat the same information over and over again. The last appointment we walked out. She has no respect for you, your time, or your children as patients. DO NOT waste your time and make an appointment with her. I will never recommend or go see her ever again.

I have seen Dr. Freitag on multiple occasions for lacrimal duct issues. I had two surgeries to correct duct blockage, and both procedures were 100% successful. I could not be more pleased with Dr. Freitag's most pleasant manner, her sense of humor, and above all, her professionalism and ability that so easily blend with her personality. She is an absolute delight and I would not hesitate whatsoever to recommend her in the highest regard (as long as you don't take my desired appointment time!)

Excellent experience, and my standards are high. Was seen on time. Friendly staff, very pleasant waiting room. Med Assistant and Resident examined me first, efficiently and with courtesy. Dr. Freitag then examined all of my eye conditions. She is expert and insightful, calm and friendly, generous with information. She does not let a busy schedule affect the consult. I'm happy to have migrated all of my complicated eye care to MEE, and look forward to consults with Dr. Freitag. I am confident that she will find and correct with finesse any changes in the condition which we discussed.

Dr.Freitag had read my medical history. As a result, the surgery which I was referred for was not an option at this point in time. However, she did offer a reasonable alternative. She clearly and willingly explained her findings, which made me feel comfortable. It's clear that she takes pride in her work. Never felt rushed or disrespected.

Great, informed, caring service -- once I finally saw Dr. Freitag. But it took 2 hours. No exaggeration. Waited 1/2 hour to see an intake nurse or PA, another 45 minutes to see a fellow. And a full 2 hours to see Dr. Freitag. No apology was offered. How is this OK? They had my cell phone # and could easily call to tell me to delay my arrival. This isn't hard. Just disrespectful.

I went to see Dr. Freitag for a blocked tear duct. She and her team listened to me, tested and verified what I was reporting. We're moving quickly to get it fixed.

I had a very poor experience with this professional. She arrived totally unprepared for my appointment and made inappropriate personal comments during the visit as well. She wasn’t up front and honest about her capabilities and led me to to believe she could do something she wasn’t capable of. It took almost 3 months and MANY phone calls on my end for someone from her office to tell me I was “too high risk” of a patient—which is completely opposite of what she told me during my office visit.

I was referred to Dr Freitag by my ophthalmologist who specializes in uveitis, and she was spot on perfect for my condition. I am grateful to have her care.

Appreciated her expertise, certainly, but also her listening and the clarity of her explanations.

As always, my visit was helpful and informative. The staff is courteous and professional. I am always amazed at how eager all are to answer wuestions and address any concerns

Dr. Freitag is wonderful.

World class medical care. No detail too small, no patient concern left unaddressed. Highly recommended by ophthalmologist friends for good reason. While a smaller procedure, I would not hesitate to seek out Dr. Freitag for any ophthalmic surgical procedure. Strong intellectual curiosity combined with extensive experience and great bedside manner makes for the best surgical experience possible. Dr. Freitag and her team are personally engaged in the patient's outcome, especially important at a large academic teaching hospital like MEEI

This was my second visit to Dr. Freitag....a few years since first. I have about 3-4 other eye specialists I see regularly. I’m fairly cautious with who I see d/t several eye challenges. The first issue I saw her for was for a situation the others didn’t know what to do with....but one of those mds had a previous interaction with her and spoke with her about my options. After 3 years of increasing issues...she fixed it that first appointment.

Dr Freitag is a fantastic doctor , extremely concerning and you feel that your problem will be solved by her , she is the smartest Doctor and I am grateful to be her patient .

Dr Freitag is amazing Dr. She saved my eye sight. Her staff are so welcoming. She and her staff went above and beyond to make every visit comfortable. She explained every procedure I was going to have.

I live in Philadelphia near Wills Eye Hospital yet I travel to Boston for care primarily because of Dr. Freitag. She, along with Dr. Bleier, successfully removed a very large benign tumor that had grown behind my eye in a manner that was less invasive than what other doctors had recommended. Not only is she is an incredible surgeon (knowledgeable, skilled, etc), she is the type of physician who takes her time to help you understand your condition, explain treatment options, and answer any questions you may have. Dr. Freitag is personable and empathetic and I would recommend her without hesitation.
