Words cannot express how grateful I am for Dr Luft. I went to see her for help with weight loss after trying on my own for so long with no results and feeling helpless and hopeless. Dr Luft spent time listening to my needs and goals and strategized a plan that has resulted in some amazing results. I cannot thank her enough. She is thoughtful, kind, caring, professional and so encouraging!! Her honest attitude and open approach to what works best for realistic lifestyle for her patients made a life style change for me instead of a “diet”. First colonoscopy; nervous and anxious; she blows into the room, looks at her computer and, without looking at me, asks my name to confirm who I am. She never introduced herself. She started spewing the expected questions that medical staff ask and not once paused to say hello or let me know that she was the doctor. I only knew because I got a glimpse of her name tag. I was too caught up in the beeping of technology and the shock of her disregard to stop her to ask who she was. After the procedure, she was dismissive and as I asked her a question she was actually walking away (!!!), waved her hand in the air, and told me to eat more fiber. Wow. Has healthcare really become this mechanical, flat, and impersonal? The images seem to be complete and she caught some alarming polyps. I’ll give her that. The nurses prior to her arrival said she’s very good. Great but, good grief!

Terrible experience.Refused to read a symptoms list.Treated me like a hypochondriac(I was there following a celiac dx,& in all caps her notes state"I DID NOT SEE THESE RESULTS.")When I asked her about SIBO she literally rolled her eyes&said,"Everyone reads an article on the internet about SIBO & thinks they have it.I don't test for it."(Her notes say,"She thinks she has SIBO"-asking about something doesn't mean I"think I have it.")I asked if she could order an ANA & she said,"I'm not going to give you an ANA."I ordered one MYSELF afterwards& it was positive..She was arrogant & dismissive.When I said I had a scary reaction to alcohol she said,"well, we don't know that's what it was."Really..?When I ingest something & my face is red,blotchy & burning 2 minutes later,I think it's a reasonable connection to make.After,I saw in her notes she put that I had reported drug use!Absolutely not!It took mcalling the hospital patient advocate to correct that.I've never been treated this way by a dr
