I'm a veteran who was directed to this office to obtain a simple check up on my eyes to measure some vision loss. Waited for over two hours to see Dr. Mistr in room full of people also waiting for the same amount of time. I was suspicious of her diagnosis when she wanted to use her laser to burn a hole in my eye. Later I went to see another ophthalmologist at the Tripler Army Hospital in Oahu, and he said that I did not have the condition in my eyes that warranted such radical surgery. I looked at other reviews of Dr. Mistr and found that she pushes for laser surgery if one has good insurance to pay for it. This was the same case with me when she asked what kind of insurance I had, and she was satisfied my plan could easily pay for it. I would certainly get a second opinion before getting laser treatment from this person.

My experiences with this office were unsatisfactory, from unfriendly front desk staff to long wait times to doctor's cold and seemingly arrogant approach. She also did not seem particularly knowledgeable about my eye condition. Office seems to have limited hours and does not answer calls.

I highly recommend Dr. Mistr. I have been a patient of hers for several years. She is highly intelligent and thorough. She performed my cataract surgery a few years ago. I have glaucoma and therefore I have scheduled appointments with her every 3 months. My continued visual health is in her hands. I trust her knowledge and expertise.

Aloha my Mom went for appt there The doctor never spoke one word Not a single question regarding eye health Then a huge bill appeared she was overcharged initially and then issued 2 refund checks There is no direct communication with the patient not even an attempt of caring and a true failure of professionalism it's corporate mentality at its worst They also do not answer their messages

I have been going to ophthalmologists for over 45 years. Dr. Mister is by far the best doctor I have been to. She explains things, is thorough, and very professional.

I would highly recommend Dr. Mistr. When she had an office in Waimea I went to her and could not have asked for better treatment. She was excellent, easily understood, efficient, and very thorough in her treatment of my eyes. We are fortunate to have such a first-class doctor available. Patricia Greenwell

I called the office on 3/11 to schedule a new patient appointment. I left a detailed message along with my name and phone number and never received a return phone call. Not impressed, won't be going there.
