Dr. Susan Tsai, MD

I had to see Dr. Tsai today because my regular OBGYN wanted a second opinion. I always research everything in regards to health issues because I like to be as informed as possible. What I thought I had turned out to be something different - but I’m not a doctor. Dr. Tsai listened to me, is very well educated and explained everything to me in great detail which made sense to me. My regular OBGYN thought I would need surgery but Dr. Tsai said I didn’t as my pain was due to something else. This is one doctor that isn’t out for money but puts the needs of her patients first. I highly recommend Dr. Tsai. I’d also like to mention that Dr. Thai’s staff is very personable, kind, with excellent communication skills. I was very impressed especially since I thought this appointment was going to be a waste of my time.

Dr. Tsai is an extraordinary surgeon whose compassion and skill exceeded all my expectations. From the outset, she dedicated herself to addressing my concerns, patiently answering every question I had. Facing a significant challenge with a sizable cyst while wanting to preserve my ovary, Dr. Tsai's dedication shone through. She tirelessly persevered, demonstrating a level of commitment and expertise that I know few others possess. Thanks to her unwavering efforts, not only did she safeguard my ovary, but she also saved my life. Dr. Tsai is truly a remarkable professional whose care and talent are unmatched.

The visit went well but when it came time for a follow u surgery I could not get ahold of the doctor or her staff. Sent an email and left two voicemails and 10 days later still no response. A third call prompted a call from her scheduler, who was so detached and was not willing to do anything but pass the message along again. I wasted a month of time and energy snd now have to start finding someone else. I am leaving NWMH and heading to Rush because they seem more responsive.

Professional and Caring

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Tsai and her team. So happy I was referred to her by my primary doctor. As a post-menopausal disabled woman it's hard to find doctors who treat you with respect and consideration for your physical limitations. Her team, from start to finish, was prepared, knowledgeable, empathetic and thorough. I wish all doctors were as wonderful as Dr. Tsai.

On selecting Dr. Tsai after many years without using gynecological services, I depended upon her medical credentials, experience, and affiliation at Northwestern Medicine. She and her team were accommodating and provided information about the procedure for diagnosis and prognosis of my painful experience after examination and referral by the NM Emergency Department. Since the procedure, I have experienced very little pain and discharge. Dr. Tsai has a compassionate and informative approach that helped me to be comfortable and acceptant of the gynecological process.

Dr. Tsai was helpful and reassuring. She listened to my concerns and her recommendations were very helpful. The appointment wasn't rushed and I was able to have subsequent procedures done in a very timely manner.

Dr. Tsai is an amazing doctor! She sits down and takes the time to listen and truly cares about her patients. She has been my doctor for over 8 years, and I would not go anywhere else. Her compassion and down to earth personality are qualities you don't find all the time.
