As a graduate in early childhood education from UCLA, mandated reporter for LA County and a 25 yr veteran in the teaching field, I am absolutely disappointed and disheartened by the extremely poor care rendered by Dr Schreiber at premier pediatrics. Having a PPO platinum policy, we could go to any doctor of choice but chose this clinic BEFORE our son was born after consulting with the doctor on our expectations. After the first 2 months, the doctor disappeared without any notice for 4 months due to personal reasons. We were shuffled from one doctor to another, creating a great strain in my son's wellness visits. We were given incorrect diagnosis on several occasions coupled with the office being highly disorganized and careless with communication. They scoff at any idea of natural care and shove medications down your throat for every concern you may have (i.e.: temp, tooth aches etc). I switched to this practice 15 years ago looking for a qualified but also caring and warm professional. My son is now 18 y old and it makes me reflect on the many many times that this office, and especially Dr. Schreiber, was there for us. The in-office diagnostic and life saving measure taken when he lost consciousness due to a bacterial infection made me know right then and there I am in very competent hands. Cracking the puzzle of a stubborn 1 year long cough that didn't get figured out by our NYC ENT and immunologist made me have even more respect for the experience and knowledge of Dr. Schreiber. In the context of unnecessary antibiotic use and potential problems with resistance I am forever grateful that my kids' bodies have been treated with thoughtfulness and the long term in mind.
