Don’t bother
I was forced into this office by no choice of my own and it’s been horrible with her ever since… she doesn’t listen to you. And it makes you feel so defeated that you just concede. She tells you to either talk in therapy or figure something else out no matter how many times you try and explain that something isn’t working. And can see that you’ve been making your therapy appointments. I didn’t feel like it was a good fit from the start. But I was stuck. If you want to be taken seriously and you have the option, go somewhere else.

So helpful!
Dr. Matta is the first doctor who understood me. I had gone for years with so many problems. To finally find out that I had bipolar, and that I could be medicated to live a somewhat normal life was so wonderful. I am quite shocked at some of the other comments on here from people saying that she only sees things in black and white or is a difficult doctor. I never felt that way. She is the best!

Everything is black and white
She is nice and smart but she thinks in black and white. I've been stigmatized and she will not listen to my side of the story or even consider the situation. She will not give me anxiety medicine I've been on for 15 years, says I need to control it with breathing.

Dr. Matta has been seeing me for quite some time and I love that she has listened to me. I have terrible anxiety and after too many failed attempts w/ the heavy anti anxiety meds we found one that was non addictive and can be adjusted as needed without side effects. 10/10 would highly recommend.

I have been seeing Dr. Matta for a few years now. She is the first Psychiatrist who honestly listens to my concerns and explains to me my condition. She also includes me in the decision making process when it comes to my medications. I went through many years un-diganosted and was at my all time low after 3 years of breast cancer treatment. Had it not been for Dr Matta along with the wonderful outpatient treatment at Mulenburg and their coordination of care I don't know where I would be today.

Don't care what is wrong with you. Will only treat certain things. Don't really care about the patient at all.
