Treat yourself better than coming here
This place is pretty terribly run and I’ve given it pretty fair chances before writing this review.I’ve had the office switch a date of an appointment without really notifying me, then attempt to gaslight me by telling me it was always that date.I went in for bloodwork and was not notified that the person taking the blood was in-training. When they failed to take it, another person stepped in afterwards and started explaining to the in-training individual like I wasn’t even there. They had me sit waiting for the doctor in a side room for 50 minutes after my scheduled time. They’ve failed to provide medical documents of my visits in a timely manner multiple times, in some cases almost a week. The only redeeming part of coming here is Sophie and the girl in-training who takes blood, everyone else treats you like a walking paycheck and I’m happy to wipe my hands clean of coming here.

Dishonest Billing - Overcharged
Lately, I went to this clinic as a new patient since my previous family doctor had retired. When I received the first bill, I checked and found in my insurance a claim with the highest charge code (99204) for 45 minutes or more on a new patient visit but Dr. Malik only spent no more than 20 minutes with me. I called my insurance company and was told there were lower codes for shorter visits. Then I called the Billing Department, first saying I thought I was overcharged. The staff immediately said 'No' even without knowing who I was since she had not asked for my information. I insisted I got charged more than expected, then she took my info and said the billing time started from when I checked in until I left, not for how long I saw the doctor. Apparently, that makes no sense at all. Patients should only be billed for the time they receive service, not including the wait time. Not to mention, I spent less than 30 minutes being there, which was a time slot for my visit.

Good doctor but a few things lacking
Dr. Malik was great, he went through my entire medical history, the medical assistant was very nice and knowledgeable and reception was fabulous! My only complaints are that as a new patient not knowing the layout of the office I was left in the room at the end of the appointment without knowing where to go and I sat for 30-45 mins waiting for someone to tell me I was all set. I had had some testing done and thought I was told to wait but then the assistant came back and said to me “oh you’re still here I told you to go” which I did not hear or she did not say. I felt so stupid. Then I wasn’t shown how to get back to the front desk. Just as a new patient I expected a little direction. Other than that my appointment went well.

I had an appointment last week with Dr. Malik. First, I was transferred to a PA without my consent or knowledge. The waiting room was completely full to the point that people had to stand. I waited for over an hour and when I was finally taken back to the exam room, the nurse looked like she was about to cry, the door kept being knocked on so she would leave, come back later apologize but then it happened again. When she came back she rushed through the questions and then made me go to yet another room to wait for the PA. The amount of actual time she spent with me must have been under 5 minutes but the time waiting for her must have been at least 20. The equipment used kept giving errors. It was ridiculous! The visit with the PA was good and she was nice, but overall the office experience was terrible. I have been here a few times and it has been busy but clearly it has only gotten worse in this office. They are clearly understaffed and overbooked. Not coming back.

Former Patient with Positive Experience
Dr. Malik was my primary care physician for about two years or so. During this time he was always professional, courteous, and listened to my concerns. Under his care I effectively managed my cholesterol. Unfortunately, having recently moved, I can no longer see him due to distance. Thank you Dr. Malik!

Dr. Malik is very thorough. His accurate picture of your health is confirmed by the best tests available. At 73, I have many “complaints” - all patiently considered with unusual respect. Yes he uses a computer, but it is essential for the best care.

Physical exam: listening to your heart for 5 seconds, looking at your ears 3 seconds, asking questions and entering to computer record, that is it literally. No checking you naked. None of the several examinations my previous PCP had done. Like checking your skin, blood vessels, even prostate. Does not study his patients. Comes to the appt 10-15 mins late. Comes blank. Does not feel I am cared for at all. Talked me into a third covid shot which was totally unnecessary without checking any health risk or being in risk group. Not even talked about having the shot and feeling sick for a few days. I feel like sheep in front of a wolf. I feel he is doing this business just for money and sees patients like super market shoppers. If there is zero empathy or genuine care why waste time and money with him???????
