Lack of Detailed Work Up and False Advertisment
An appointment was set with Dr. Sunil Raichand for my mom's eye issues and area of expertise advertised on his website, namely, as corneal specialist. A front-desk staff named Jennifer was informed via emails prior to setting any appointment for corneal examination and if he had medical equipment and expertise to address eye conditions. There were several problems with his eye care. He claimed that she had some mild macular degeneration in the good eye without running any objective tests. Another major red flag was doctor informed us about high eye pressure in one of her eyes and instead of addressing head on with any reasonable treatment, he said it should be immediately seen by glaucoma specialist. On his website, he states he is comprehensive ophthalmologist who treats glaucoma. He didn't do detailed corneal examination with medical equipment to find out the nature of the corneal injury in one of her eye. He lacked curiosity or know how to address the main reason for office visit.

Not listen patient properly. Not understand what patient tell and what patient want. Also, when I ask question, with previous my health history, still he avoid answer, rather than, give proper advice. So, I suggest, don't spend money on him.

This office should change the way they deal with patients before they are shutdown for good. Office Staff: Staff is very rude, and have a hard time to walk to the cabinet to look up the referral that was sent from the PCP. They just give a you time when you should be graced by the doctor. Doctor: He is a chaos himself, with no bed side manner at all. He has freaked out after seeing my eyes and made me very nervous after making some insensitive comments. The actual exam was very fast and minimal and he always had one foot out the door. He has burshed off our concerns and didn't bother to answer questions. Doctors assistant: She was behaving as if she was forced to be there or was lost and showed up at this place. Office staff has charged us for sending our records to my PCP, who has referred us to this doctor in the first place. If they don't care about me as a person, they probably don't care about my eye care. If any one acted as rudely as the doctor or the staff in this office, th

Quite a rude man. I lost my job and had to go on medicaid for awhile for first time in my life. He acted like I shouldn't have even been allowed to make an appointment at his practice, let alone be graced by his presence for an eye exam. The actual exam was very fast and minimal. Wasn't allowed to discuss or have extra testing that I usually have done at previous eye exams with other doctors, given my eye condition. It's probably because the doctor didnt think he would be reimbursed by medicaid.
