Disappointed after 5+ years
Dr. Sawhaney refused to call in my life dependent medication because my last visit was in March 2023. Since March I've been in 2 outpatient surgeries with other medical issues. I explained those to him last visit. I regularly see Dr. Sawhaney every 6-9 months. I realized I was nearly out of blood thinners and called his office. The office made an August 1, 2023 appointment as he's not available any afternoon. The office paged him as I am running out of blood thinners. Dr. Sawhaney was paged while on rounds, probably working since 7am, he told me to go to ER to get my refill. My next appointment was scheduled for August 1st. It's mind-blowing to leave your patient of so many years without the medication prescribed for over 5 years.

Chaos, confusion and disorganization. Just try to contact them. Appointments cancelled, medication’s unavailable. Outdated office and equipment.

He is not so bad but office is incompetent
Dr. Sawhney seems knowledgeable and competent. However, is office is not. We have had numerous last minute cancellations for scheduled treatments with always the same excuse of supply issues. When you try calling office most of the time you cannot speak to someone right away. They act “put out” when you try to schedule anything. Say they will contact you to only have to harass them for follow up care.

My daughter has been sick for 14 years. We have seen a good number of hematologists during the years. Dr. Sawhney took care of my daughter while hospitalized and if you ever need a good hematologist he is one of the best if not the best in South Florida, you must trust me, I know! He is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, he listens to the patient and reviews all options with the patient. I'm very grateful for Dr. Sawhney and the great care he provided to my daughter.

Needed an appt. as a new patient quickly following an ER visit. Called and was given an appt. for the next day. Paperwork was emailed to make it easier to check in. The staff was outstanding, making me comfortable from the first phone call up to seeing the Dr. The wait time was reasonable given the size of his practice. Dr. Sawhney was kind, patient and very helpful. He took the time to listen and explain . Altogether, a very positive experience during a difficult time.

I have seen Dr. Sawhney for the past 15 years and I absolutely love and adore him, as well as his nursing staff and front office staff. I love them so much that I still drive for my appointments and anemia treatments, even though I now live 4 hours away. They are worth every penny and every mile!

Office is staff is the worst I have ever experienced. Completely clueless and usually can't get hold of anyone including the doctor. Other doctors that had to work with this doctor together for me as their mutual patient were amazed about how little direction is given and how dismissive the doctor and office is.

I have been seeing him for an elevated WBC for over 7 years and have been very pleased. He is both professional and thorough. He is also kind and caring. He has been most helpful with referrals to other doctors when needed. I simply told him about a problem I was having and he immediately had a solution. He is now seeing my daughter for the same problem I have. He is the best and I wouldn't want any other doctor taking care of either one of for this problem.
