All reviews are confirmed and audited before publication, and community members have the ability to flag inappropriate content for further review by our team.

I too am surprised about the negative reviews. Dr. Ergin was thorough as she did a complete exam and asked great probing questions whereby she did not come into the visit thinking either X or Y, but rather, let the answers to the questions guide her! She was attentive and LISTENED to my concerns. For me, this visit was me taking the chance with another rheumatologist as my initial visit to a rheumatologist left me feeling like it was all in my head - with me left to 'figure it out' since it was not X or Y. Thank you Dr. Ergin. Thank you for your attention to my care!

I am surprised by the negative reviews because my experiences are fabulous! She listens and is very thorough. Found her super nice and easy to talk to. Never dismissed any concerns and explained everything to me. She is genuinely concerned for my well-being.

LA DOCTORA FUE MUY DETALLISTA EN SABER SOBRE MI CONDICIÓN .ME EXPLICO CLARAMENTE SOBRE QUE ESTA PASANDO CON UNOS RESULTADOS DE RAYOS X ME MEDICO Y HASTA SE PREOCUPÓ POR QUE TOMARA ALGO PARA PROTEGER MI ESTÓMAGO YA QUE EL MEDICAMENTO ES FUERTE HE MEJORADO BASTANTE PUES EL DOLOR ERA SUMAMENTE FUERTE Y PRONTO COMIENZO CON LA TERAPIA FÍSICA PARA MEJORAR MÁS! Y EN DOS MESES VUELVO A CITA PARA SEGUIMIENTO Y SU AYUDANTE MUY AMABLE ME DIO HASTA LA CITA OBTUBE UN ANDADOR PARA EN LA MAÑANA SALIR DE LA CAMA SIN TANTO TRABAJO Y DOLOR Y OTROS EXÁMENES PARA VER POR MIS OTRAS MOLESTIAS. FUE MUY DELICADA SU FORMA DE VER Y TOCAR LAS ÁREAS DONDE TENGO DOLORES CRÓNICOS HACEN 18 años NO ME CAUSO DOLOR EN NINGÚN MOMENTO PUES MUCHOS DOCTORES NO SIENTEN NINGUNA EMPATÍA Y ELLA SI LA TUVO MUY PROFESIONAL Y DEDICADA EN ATENDER MIS DOLENCIAS. MUCHAS GRACIAS!

Unpleasant Rheumatologist
Saw Dr. Ergin several times. I cannot recommend her. She is very unpleasant and self-centered, like nobody exists but her. Steer clear.

Arrogant, rude, bad experience
Dr. Ergin should work in a morgue, NOT with live patients. She is extremely arrogant and has no sense of decency.

I would say I had an average experience with Dr. Ergin, I would definitely recommend going with another Rheumatologist who is a good communicator and will listen patiently to your problems. For me the waiting time for another rhematologist was long and this was the only available earlier appointment I could get with a Rheumatologist. But I am extremely unsatisfied and i have seen better docs in the past and coming from healthcare myself, I definitely can assure there are good ones out there who are patient and will explain the diagnosis, lab results and precautions and care required to the patient giving them enough support and time, which i feel lacked here.

Agreed with others- not worth it
Agree with the past recent reviews, she is arrogant, rude, dismissive and I had a very unpleasant visit with her. Also got the "see you in six months" yet not so much as a hello how are you etc. I will be canceling that 6 month follow up appt and going somewhere else. What a rotten experience. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else but here.

After my first appointment with Dr. Ergin I stuck it out for a few more visits, hoping she was just having a bad day that first time. My visit with her this May was the last straw, and I am asking my PCP to refer me to a different rheumatologist. Dr. Ergin does not have the interpersonal skills to be a patient-facing physician. She does not hide the fact that she is trying to get in and out of your room as fast as possible — she skips greetings or saying goodbye, does not ask if you have questions or allow time for you to ask them, does not offer to go over your lab results with you, and does not offer detailed and accessible explanations of the health conditions affecting you. She has been dismissive or derisive after I have shared information or asked questions, and I do not feel comfortable being open with her. During this last visit, Dr. Ergin was in and out of the room within a couple of minutes. When she said “so I’ll see you again in x months” and left the room, it was so unexpected that I was not able to protest until after she was gone. I had a list of questions I had not been able to ask. I had wanted to ask if she’d received the test results from a previous doctor that I’d gotten sent over the previous day. I had wanted to look at my latest lab results with her and have her explain them. She had also told me she was ordering new tests that day, but when I went to the desk to check out, the receptionist told me Dr. Ergin had forgotten to order my tests. The receptionist said she would send them to my PCP so I could get them done when I saw him in a couple of months. (Dr. Ergin’s staff is always extremely kind and helpful.)

Extremely arrogant and rude. Wouldn’t let me finish telling how I was feeling and what I’ve felt and why I was sent to see her. Went inside with a student and half of the time she wasn’t being rude to me, she was just giving attention to him. Didn’t help me with anything. Was such a waste of time. Wouldn’t recommend going to see this doctor if you’re in pain and need to find out what’s your problem.

I've seen more specialists than anyone should have to see in one lifetime but this was honestly one of the most disappointing and frustrating visits. From the moment she walked in she was cold, dismissive, and impatient. The evaluation was inadequate and I was then promptly offered a biologic without any discussion of options and recommendations, just a generic review of risks. She may be intelligent, but she is not a skilled clinician because communication and bedside manner is imperative!!

If you are looking for assistance for rheumatology concerns, you will not find it with this medical provider. She is simply the worst doctor i have ever encountered. This lady has a terrible bedside manner. She is rude, condescending, and incompetent. Simply lacks any sort of empathy! This lady should not be allowed to interact with human beings, let alone diagnose or treat patients.

Dr. Ergin was able to help me figure out that I have hypermobility in my joints. I didn't find her bedside manner to be comforting or reassuring. She seemed distracted and distant. I'm glad she could help me eliminate some possibilities. But I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.
