Today was my 3rd time seeing Dr. Kurri. Each time I sit down with her I feel less and less listened to. She prescribed me medication for my ADHD and told me to let her know if it was working for me in a follow-up visit. Well it wasn't working, and I told her and she was extremely dismissive during my follow-up. No changes were made to the medication. I told her again today that the medication didn't seem to be helping, and I mentioned that I think it was causing panic attacks and she told me that its not possible to pin it on the medication that she prescribed. She then went on to tell me that I dont have ADHD because I am currently in school, and working a full time job (guess no one with ADHD can pull that off?), and that if I had ADHD I would be "climbing the walls". Im 34 years old, not 5, and I have been dealing with this issue my entire life. Ive learned how to keep still. On top of all of this, she took personal calls on her cell phone during all 3 of my appointments with her.
