Dr. Mathai is someone who cares for your well-being. She spends time in explaining things to me and is spot on with her diagnosis. She is very friendly and personable. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs infectious disease care.

Dr. S., Mathai, greet it me with a smile. Listen to my concerns and issues went over my labs and reports thoroughly gave me her recommendations ordered more testing. She was very kind respectful you safety precautions throughout the whole time in the room with me as the patient I really felt respected. Listen to, she went over and beyond to make sure that I clearly understood before this visit today. I will definitely recommend her to my friends and family after seeing many specialist and doctors. Dr Mathai was my mom’s Dr and recently my daughter-in-laws Dr. In both cases she was outstanding! She is very knowledgeable, helpful, takes the time to listen and not only cares about the patient but the family as well. I would highly recommend her.

Dr. Mathai is fantastic. She could not have been more helpful and gracious. She diagnosed my condition accurately and treated it promptly and I have been pain-free since.

Dr. Mathai is not knowledgeable at all about parasitic infections so if you have one please do not go to her cuz u will be disappointed & treated as if u are subhuman!The only thing I give her credit for is giving me the ELISA test upon my request because I've done research for 2 years everyday on these conditions that I thought I had.When the test came back positive for schistosimiasis she said she didn't believe it I said to retest me she would not She would not give me more medication even though according to the CDC,WHO,&Mayo clinic you need 1 dose of prazi 3xs in one day for 3 months she would not do that so I guess she wants me to continue 2 suffer!So she told me to go to the University of Penn because she is not knowledgeable for this condition.I have the test that's positive right in front of her&she doesn't want to retest me cuz she doesn't believe it?My 7-year-old has it as well test right in front of her then she walks out not even explaining my brain scan which was positive

Dr. Mathai went ABOVE AND BEYOND the call of duty in taking care of my mother who was in hospital. She called me on her personally to ask if I had been contacted by the hospital and made sure she was okay by GOING DOWN TO THR EMERGENCY ROOM and looking in on her. She looked in on her and ordered all necessary medicines for her treatment. She is an EXCELLENT physician who cares for her patients in an expert and efficient manner. Moreover, she LISTENS to her patients’ concerns and explains in a clear, relatable manner. I would surely recommend her to any needing the best in infectious disease treatment. But this was not my first experience with Dr. Mathai. She was MY OWN doctor who supervised my Lyme disease testing and treatment. She did not disappoint.

Dr. Mathai was assigned to me while I was hospitalized. First, her bedside manner was extremely professional and very comforting during such a miserable time for me. Second, she was excellent with handling my situation and also my follow-up appointment. And third, I had several doctors assigned to me...she surely stood out from all of them! I highly recommend her. And although I hope to never get that sick again, if I do, I will ask for her no doubt!

Dr Suja Mathai was wonderful in helping me with a wound that was not healing. She managed to get it cleaned out well enough and saved me a trip to the ER. She instructed me on how to care for it and was just all around very pleasant, caring and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend her.

Dr. Mathai was my 91 yr old dad's doctor in the RWJ Hamilton Hospital; until she came on the scene and explained to us that his condition was caused due to a strong antibiotic, we had given up hope on him; she came every day and reassured us about his improvements and kept our hopes up.
