Dr Jalil has helped me enormously. She spends alot of time with her patients. She asks questions and listens carefully. Her first question was "Tell me about your pain". I have had negative experiences with other rheumatologists whose approach has been "prove to me you have pain " She listens, she cares and is very knowledgeable and helpful. I am grateful to her and recommend her highly.

Dr. Abdel-Jalil is very curious and thorough. After seeing two other rheumatologists, she was my third opinion. I was losing hope and felt lost as I jumped from doctor to doctor for 2 years. She asked me detailed questions that I've never been asked by a doctor before, and showed me things about my joints that I've never noticed (and I'm in my 40's)! She is not quick to diagnose, but will discuss the possibilities and narrow down the diagnosis very carefully using questions, examination, and targeted tests.

The doctor had terrible bedside manner. On top of that, the billing department procedures are sloppy and harassing to consumers. I paid my bill on time, but received a letter from a third-party collection agency on behalf of Amita. It was dated a week after I paid my bill. I called the number on the letter to try to clarify the situation but no one answered. I finally got a hold of Amita. Their excuse was that it takes their system 30 days to update payments in the system and that I wasn't officially in the collections process. Well, if it takes 30 days to update the system, how about you also wait 30 days to pass on my info to a collection agency? Or, at least use a collection agency that answers their phone.

Dr. Abdel - Jahlil has absolutely no bed-side matter. In fact, she is the rudest doctor I have ever experienced. After waiting 4 months for an appointment with a specialist, I had some questions to ask. This women got up and started walking out the door in the middle of me asking her a question. I never experienced such a rude person. Then she said my issue is probably a result of depression. It is amazing that my PCP took a blood test and that is why I went to the appointment. I did not know depression comes up positive in a blood test? Believe me, I do not like taking time off work, paying a co-pay just to be insulted. Do yourself a favor and see another specialist. AVOID THIS DOCTOR
