Caring
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis with a high sero positive, fibromyalgia also Shogren syndrome and Dr. Thapa has always been very supportive of me and my problems. But I don’t care for his other PA that helps she never does anything for me nor does she help she knows nothing about me or my problems and always makes me feel horrible. But Dr. Thapa himself is very good at explaining things to me and helping me understand what is going on in my joints he really has been great with treating me. I have been with him 3+ years.

I have EDS-h, Fibromyalgia, Intractable Chronic Migraines, and just tested positive for Lupus in four areas in the initial testing. I’ve been battling medical issues since 2004. Dr Thapa spent most of the visit doing physical testing for EDS. My grandparents have 60+ descendents, overwhelmingly female, and EDS present in over 70%. My family was studied at UW in the 1970s. I even had genetic testing in 2004 after in became obvious my daughter has EDS as well. Dr. Thapa referred me to Genetic counseling for retesting. He did order additional blood tests for Lupus, then told me to come back in 4 months! Also, my husband has been invaluable in accompanying me to every medical appointment. My brain is sometimes so foggy, it’s hard to speak in complete sentences, and my memory isn't the best anymore. Dr. Thapa wouldn’t let him in the building . Dr. Thapa and his assistant—all the staff, really—were very cold and uncaring. I do not recommend!

I have been to Dr. Thawpa twice. As for both visits I can't say enough good about him! He listened to me, said he wanted to run tests x,y, &z, then told me why, he was 99% sure I have rheumatoid arthritis but wanted to make sure. He also said he thought he could help me. To even have hope that this pain could be stopped brought tears to my eyes. He is very personable, took time to listen to me, explain the tests and treatment he wants to pursue. I am thankful to this caring, knowledgeable, kind man, so glad to have been referred to him.

Did one basic test and refused to dig deeper. In the appointment I thought he was hearing me and helping, but when the one test came back negative he refused to test for anything else.

I have seen Dr. Thapa 3 times now since he came to the Tri-Cities.. He has been very kind in taking the time to listen to me and also answers my concerns. He had all my chart notes from other MD visits so I felt like all of me was being treated. I left feeling hopeful that his plan for me would help get rid of or simmer the pain I've had since 2012. I hope to see him stick around the Tri-Cities and have a long practice here..

Great! Dr Thapa listened and reviewed previous chart notes during the visit. He came up with a game plan that I am very comfortable with. He was kind and answered all my questions.

I felt like a subject in a case study. He was speaking to himself about my various symptoms & told me if I wanted to know more about the terminal illnesses he was suspecting I had, I could "Google them." He said there had to be a grave, abnormal reason for my symptoms, & doubted I had arthritis (despite prev recent records showing findings)& discussed referring me onto a doctor that specialized in fibromyalgia if results ruled out other dx's. During my follow-up, he skipped over moderate-severe arthritis findings in multiple locations & when I asked about them, he then said it was "all normal," b/c I "can't do anything about them anyway." I then inquired about the referral to a fibro specialist, & he looked irritated & questioned "how do I even know if I have that" & "who told me I had it" & that "either way there's nothing to cure that & he's not going to prescribe opiates," yet I could schedule w him to get ongoing steroid shots that would eat away at my cartilage..left more hopeless
