Dr. Sudarsana Chakrabarti, MD

I have been taking my mom, Fern Krause, to see Dr. Chakrabarti after her doctor retired. She was recommended from a few nursing friends of mine. My mom was in and out of the hospital for quite a few issues before seeing Dr. Chakrabarti. Dr. Chakrabarti stepped in and directed us to the right surgeon and got my mom on the correct medications.Mom has been home now and is doing extremely well. I would highly recommend this doctor, just as she was recommended to me.

Office staff are kind, phlebotomist is excellent. They ghosted me after trying to get results and an appointment. Terrible care.

not great with communication. will only send letters, not call or email.

Finding Dr Chakrabarti has been a miracle for me. She is the most professional, as well as the most compassionate, doctor I have ever known. She is always attentive to patient issues and is very well networked with specialists in the city and suburbs. She has also gone beyond the call to advocate for me with hospitals and other health practitioners. I am grateful to have her as my primary care physician, and expect to have a long-term lasting relationship.

I am not one to write reviews for anything, but I was compelled to write one today after my visit with Dr. Chakrabarti. I have been searching for a primary care physician that really listens to me and wants to partner with me in achieving my healthcare goals. Dr. Chakrabarti is that physician!!! I am beyond thrilled to finally have a primary care physician that listens to me, looks me in the eye and offers kind advice and encouragement. She truly cares and takes her time with you. I have never felt rushed, and that is a tall statement in today's world of medical care. I am so happy to have established myself with Dr. Chakrabarti....she is everything I have been searching for in a primary care physician. She is the total package of expert medical care, sound advice delivered with a kind demeanor/bedside manner and a healthcare strategy that is manageable AND attainable. She is one of a kind!

Horrible. She would not issue a prescription because, falsely, she said it was a controlled substance - when I called back and indicated it was in fact not, she still wouldn't give me the prescription I needed. I also had a positive result on a PAP test - I followed up a month after the visit and her office person claimed that they called me and left a message (not true) - however, no follow-up call? It turned out to be a false positive (after expensive test with another physician), however, if positive, a month passes with potential cancer? Overall, INCOMPETENT.

I find doctors to be unapproachable and have a complete lack of empathy. I'm beyond excited that Dr. Chakrabarti proved me wrong. She is kind, understanding, and although she is rational, she doesn't forget that I'm a human being capable of making mistakes. She encourages me to focus on my health instead of chastising me. She is the best. Her nurses are fabulous as well. Ms. Kathy always goes the extra mile to help her patients as well. THANK YOU!!

Dr. Chakrabarti is a wonderful physician. She is so thorough and explains everything in terms one can easily understand. I have been taking my neighbor to her for treatment for the past two years. I did not have a primary doctor and recently had an injury that required I get one after going to silver cross hospital emergency room. On my first visit to her (without my neighbor) she spent nearly 2 hours with me performing a complete physical. I recommend her highly.

Terrible experience today. Reception was rude and will not be going back. Accused of not paying bill. I come home and there is no billing from them from my insurance company.

She is very thorough and takes time to explain thing. I never feel rushed out and she is on time.

The best primary are Doctor ever. Listens to your concerns with empathy and attentiveness. Explains medical conditions and medications throughly. Spends a good amount of time with you without making you feel rushed. Non-judgemental and caring. You can tell that she truly loves her work and cares for her patients.
