Dr. Subrahmanya Yellayi, MD

This doctor had seen my mother multiple times. She’s 23 years older than me and we are VERY CLEARLY different ages. She left the exam room to use the bathroom and he came in, greeted me (as her!) and said “you’re looking well”. I said “I’m not the patient, my mother (and I stated her age) is in the bathroom!”. She was seeing him for cardiac follow-up after a triple bypass. He never even listened to her carotid (with a stethoscope) or ordered a doppler. She switched to a different cardiologist who did both of those things then likely saved her life by referring her (urgently) to a surgeon for an endarterectomy. Dr Yellayi’s office was filthy, chairs were torn in multiple places, and there was a dead fly on the windowsill. AVOID!!

They overbooked like crazy here. One hour wait on a good day. Will not come back.

The Dr. is good, but I have a bad experience with the disrespectful office staff who answered my call. I had a question about a claim submission error; I have no heart condition and just had a routine check up with normal examination result, but the staff had submitted an incorrect code for heart condition to my insurance!!! The receptionist answered the phone improperly and was rude and argumentative with me..and she forwarded me to my insurance! There are long waits before appointment

I have taken various tests and have not received results . They say if you don't receive a call don't worry. I found out that I had a thyroid problem and he never mentioned it until I visited myendocrinologist. He doesn't follow protocol .
